    They’re like truffle pigs, rooting for humor, and they find it with a frequency that’s damn impressive. It’s not subtle, it’s not realistic, and it’s not reinventing the wheel. It’s just plain old funny—relentlessly, defiantly funny.

    These situations are, of course, the bare-bones means to a lot of mischievous and seemingly improvised ends, much of it very funny.

    While the characters sometimes border on cartoonish, they also manage to showcase an underdog quality that will have the audiences rooting for them anyway, and they’re somewhat grounded by the rest of the cast, including librarian Abbey Logan (Maria Thayer).

    Not sure what I was expecting with this show, but it failed to meet those expectations. There were two episodes last night, and neither was worth watching. This show was boring, disjointed, and pathetic. It focuses on some high school teachers in a state of arrested development, and neither episode really did much beyond reinforce that idea.… Full Review »
