A reality show filled with social drama, sex, and violence. His Dark Materials was lame. Wheel of Time was horrid. Rings of Poop was an abomination. Willow was trash. The only watchable fantasy show in recent years was The Outpost. But back to Blood Origin. This show is just boring. The dialogue was flat, the acting was uninspired and the story was dreary. Whoever keeps approving and producing these shows need to be replaced. The writing across “entertainment” for the past decade has been atrocious and fantasy shows are some of the worst. Well maybe I just notice it more because Fantasy used to be my favorite genre. Lately my favorite has been re-watching shows from the 90-00's because nothing coming out these days is worth my time.… Expand

Yes! The bad ratings are more than warranted. “The Witcher” Blood Origin is an abominable disaster and a truly discomforting watch. This has nothing to do with The Witcher. It’s just a horribly cringe generic fantasy, produced for an “ultra liberal audience”, to reflect “the modern world in witch we live today”, and lecture the public on “progressive ideas”. Seriously, I’ve watched fantasy B movies way better than this flaming pile of foul dejections. There is no redemption for this show. Blood Origins is a preachy cluster of woke tropes with strong Neo-Marxist undertones. This is not Sapkowski’s Witcher, instead you get almost the entire “progressive agenda”, masquerading as a fantasy series. The writing is beyond atrocious, it’s lazy and uninspired, self centered and illogical, a total creative bust. The story is terrible, full of cliches, plot holes and sluggish conveniences. The characters are unimaginative stereotypes, wooden cutouts without any real development, placeholders to spread “the message”. The acting, for the most part, is either subpar or right down awful. The costumes and sets are amateurish at best. The CGI and VFx are dreadful. The soundtrack is insipid, and the songs belched by the cast are cringe and annoying. In conclusion, Blood Origin is one of the worst, if not the worst, mainstream fantasy TV series I have watched…so far. DO NOT waste your time with this inept dumpster… Expand

They were created by Alzur, a HUMAN sorcerer, LONG after conjunction to deal with monsters efficiently - as elves already had their longevity and dwarves their sturdiness, humans were the most common menu for all the monsters on the continent. And yes, there was a lot of experimentation involved, Alzur didn't care about morality, only about results. First few trials ended in painful and ugly deaths of the subjects (and some of Alzur's initial assistants, including his lover) but thanks to them he learned that only human boys of certain age and fitness can survive the full process (that's why there are no witcher women, though I expect NF to change that as well in future seasons). Eventually, he recruited his former master Malaspina and his apprentice Idarran (both HUMAN) to help in larger scale of production. Ironically, they also dabbled into experimentation on enhancing mosters, effectively making future witchers' job even harder. One of those monsters was Alzur's ultimate demise. Despite effectively saving humanity through witchers Alzur is considered a villan by historians, especially sorcerers, mainly due to his later experiments with monsters that were far worse than any naturally occuring specimens.?… Expand

People and networks must ban all politically biased producers including feminists at all cost. Or accept your own fall. People are not watchkng movies and series to be educated they watch it to get a relief from the madness of the world. This show is a blatant insult to the Witcher franchise. This show looks like it was produced on a shoe string budget. Just about everything in this show from costumes to effects looks very cheap.
