First, you have a bunch of writers that won't adhere to the source material. They get rid of the showrunner in Henry Cavill. Who's been amazing. I hope this burns. I cannot believe what Netflix has done to the series. I'm so sick of woke writers.

Well, it seems they keep putting out so called reality shows, but I don’t watch those. Speaking of reality shows, I didn’t like GoT. GoT was just high school with dragons. A reality show filled with social drama, sex, and violence. His Dark Materials was lame. Wheel of Time was horrid. Rings of Poop was an abomination. Willow was trash. The only watchable fantasy show in recent years was The Outpost. But back to Blood Origin. This show is just boring. The dialogue was flat, the acting was uninspired and the story was dreary. Whoever keeps approving and producing these shows need to be replaced. The writing across “entertainment” for the past decade has been atrocious and fantasy shows are some of the worst. Well maybe I just notice it more because Fantasy used to be my favorite genre. Lately my favorite has been re-watching shows from the 90-00's because nothing coming out these days is worth my time.… Expand

And if Blood Origin is any indication of what is being planned for Season 4, then it's a good thing Season 3 is perhaps the last one I'll see more out of respect for Henry Cavill than the quality of the show itself.

Blood Origin was the biggest insult to Andrzej Sapkowski that could possibly be made. To call it an "expansion on The Witcher lore" is to prove no one at Netflix has even bothered reading the source material at all.

The story is ordinary, completely predictable, and prosaic. The characters were all one dimensional, bland and forgettable, to the point I didn't even bother to remember the name of any of them.

And watching Michelle Yeoh was just torture. It was as if she never left her role as Philippa Georgiou of Star Trek Discovery. Same mannerisms, only this time her character was even worse.

It's no wonder that the members of the cast had nothing substantial to say about the story, seeing there isn't one.

The Witcher prequel... More like expensive impromptu roleplaying.… Expand

Contrary to popular belief, you cannot slap the "Witcher" name on any piece of garbage and expect it to sell.

I had watch all episodes of the main series in one go for each season and I watch it again, at blood origin i struggle even to watch one episode Main series have faults but it’s immersive and of course had Cavil acting.
At Blood origin i can’t understand the world at all, where is each character at this world and what happening!

The best reason to avoid this is that they think homosexuality and costume design were more important than story, plot, and directing. Typical hiding behind agenda to try to avoid criticism of their lack of skill.

This is a nonsence, a manifistated disregard and disrespect to literally everything that was good in books and games. Back in the rude, non-tolerant times there were “freak-shows” in circuses, this film looks exactly like it, no matter how hard it tries to respect races, genders and stuff. Nonsense dialogues, lots of brutal, absolutely unmotivated violence, poor “level design”, stereotypical and easily predictable plot. The Witcher series has already been bad but… Netflix will never stop to surprise. Don’t waste your time.… Expand
