    The bloated concept doesn’t really gel, and certainly doesn’t offer the immediately grabby, jaw-dropping moments that made Love Is Blind such a success.

    It’s absolutely terrible. Morally, obviously, there is literally no justification for deliberately putting temptation in people’s way (I believe it is one of the tenets in fact of quite a few world religions). Creatively, it’s bankrupt. Educationally, intellectually it’s … not. ... But, oh, the entertainment. Oh, the escapism.

    The couples at the center of The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On don’t feel like real couples to us, mainly because of their relative age and relationship newness, which gives us no incentive to root for or against them staying together.

    Chaotic. ... It’s hosted with bewildering seriousness by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who frame this madness as not only emotionally healthy at every turn, but somehow a unique opportunity for serious people.
