An average crime melodrama with Tom Hardy as a stand out sociopath. The question is why are these bad guys putting up with this strutting loose cannon? We all wait impatiently to watch him get his just desserts.

I think it's grossly overrated by the reviewers. The Take is just a watchable melodrama of a very average quality. Comparing it to The Sopranos is very misguided and weird, they exist on a totally different planes of artistry.
