    The balancing act required of The State was near-impossible--to create a deeper understanding of the lives of the men and women who join ISIS without either lionizing them or demonizing a whole religion. But the series, which airs in the U.S. on the National Geographic Channel over two nights on Monday and Tuesday, has somehow pulled it off.

    What I like most about The State is the fact that aside from any political and/or religious views, the story remains that of a human soul andWhat I like most about The State is the fact that aside from any political and/or religious views, the story remains that of a human soul and disregards any attempt in proving or disproving the righteous or abominal existence of such state. The State is compelling TV, that is worth a watch regardless of its subject matter and any bias whatsoever; the performances are top-notch including grade A ensamble such as Hiam Abbass.
