    The Path is unfortunately content to focus on a variety of rote melodramatic byways that give little insight into the fight between faith and personal desire, or the psychological relief and societal bliss that believers expect from their chosen religions.

    I've persevered through most of the first season because of a few promising episodes but I'm over it now.

    Great show, the performances especially are fantastic so far.     I finally gave up on The Path eight episodes into the first season when it became apparent that the show is going nowhere fast.
