It honestly only took me 12 minutes into the first episode to realise this is pretty bad. Just the writing, it's cheezy. The dialogue is very ordinary, and the action is predictable. I don't need to watch any more.

Thoroughly enjoyed! Similar to the Recruit (TV series). Predictible romance but at least the female character is competent, helpful and smart instead of just an annoying burden on our hero, so that was refreshing!

a watchable show that lacks the wow factors and I found it messy at times. The FBI terms are difficult to understand

It’s a lot of meh, really.

The acting is way too stiff, the writing is clunky and not a lot seems to really feel comfortable.

The Night Agent isn’t a great show by any stretch. There are worse out there but the premise of the show and what it devolves into by the end of Season 1 are completely different.

Ten episodes is about 2 too many as a lot of fluff and filler could have been cut.

    Extremely misleading marketing.

The main concept lasts one episode and quickly transitions into a badly written conspiracy show.

It was entertaining and the pace wasn't really too slow. Tough to determine who were good guys and who were bad guys until the end, which is good. Acting was ok and the premise was fun and the lead was pretty good to. But you know the over-dramatization that is bound to happen. Very little WOKE BS, this is now a plus these days. We think this is a "go ahead and watch - you'll probably like it."

So cheesy, its as if the writers took every cliche from every bad B movie ever made and turned it into a Netflix series. Do yourself a favor and don't bother.

    Final Thoughts:

The Night Agent is a pretty standard spy thriller with some surprisingly effective twists at its core. Supported by a stellar cast of talent that form its beating heart, a shaky beginning finds confidence in its parts to piece them into a fun conspiracy puzzle. It could lose a couple of episodes, but you’ll still fly through its 10-part run at lightning speed. Plus,

Plus, it’s a show Netflix has renewed, and with the talent involved, might be one worth investment.

Just one example to show how bad it is: somebody is smuggling someone in a trunk of a car to the Camp David (as there would be no procedure for that) and comms are down (as if that's not a red flag to evacuate the place). The whole investigation puzzle could solve 5 year old, not mentioning that's is just not plausible.

Don't waste your time watching, there are so many great action and spy series out there. Unless you want to watch handsome hero couple, which is the only reason Tv series got 1 out of 10.

Gabriel Basso’s action thriller isn’t a hit by accident. And in Season 3, it’s firing on all cylinders. There’s a star right there.

It didn’t need to be 10 episodes. A tighter framework would have turned up the heat and made it less of a slow burner. But Chau and Basso make it worthwhile.

Subversion of the action-thriller norm is a good feature, though it comes with a downside: When the tension between the equally matched pair inevitably turns romantic, some of the air goes out of the show, as detection and action make room for bland soul searching and weak rom-com repartee.
