Stood motionless for an hour. I was absorbed by the intro and then saw what the opening is about. I am not able to say something clear right now. I am truly mindf*ked. The mistery is very very mega deep. The sidestories are dozens and they unravel nothing by now. I was like: ” I got that '', the answer might be 5 minutes away, but then another question comes up. Pros:
    - Mistery, mistery, mistery
    - Deceiving appearances
    - Side stories
    - Familiar faces
    - A better vibe than the first season
    - Relationship between the family members
    - Cliffhangers?

Great season, a quality leap compared to season 1. Great plot and great acting again, chief Garvey, Matt and Nora are three of my favourite characters ever. Unpredictable but at the same time everyting has a sense on the story. I love the faith theme that is present in the all seasons.

This is probably the best show I have ever watched personally. Every episode just feels so complete. The casting is superb, acting is spot on and general story is riveting, sometimes sad and at times fun. It makes you go through so many different emotions and lets you feel what the characters on screen feel. I love it. My biggest worry is that it will get cancelled because like I mentioned it has a similar vibes to cloud atlas which as reviews ranging from Masterpiece to Bad movie. So this shows viewership is not as high as it should be.

If you like any of the following: Cloud Atlas, Magnolia, Memento, Awake you will like this. If you enjoy a deep story, good music you will like this. If you are an generally an artistic person, this is a MUST.

This show is a masterpiece of writing, acting, directing, and scoring. It's the best show on TV, and I'm really not being hyperbolic when I say that. This show sticks to you long after it's over.

The only reason its not at the top of the ratings list with Fargo's second season is because no one knows about this show. It's finally starting to get recognized on social media so hopefully HBO will let this show go for all the 5 seasons writer/creator Damond Lindelof has planned. Its really a brilliant means by which to draw in viewers: develop multiple, incomprehensible story lines...so many so that the viewer cannot follow whats going on or what actually needs answering...and continue to add more and more over multiple season, knowing full well you will never provide any answers.

The central mystery, revolving around the disappearance of Evie Murphy, gave this season a central spine from which all of its other weirdness could work from (and believe me, this show gets really weird) and some much needed humour alleviates the relentless bleakness that seemed to put so many people off the first season. Its sometimes questionable whether Damon Lindelof is making things up as he goes along, this is the guy behind Lost remember, but if you’re willing to embrace the strange The Leftovers second season is both emotionally rewarding and brilliantly entertaining.

Story writers want something (lets cal it 'X') to happen? Suddenly character Y will totally flip and do something that will cause X. Very lazy writing.
Further, the character consistency is absolutely absent in this show and they do stuff that makes no sense for them.
And finally, the continuity from First season is a joke. They move characters here and there in ridiculous manner and plot is basically deus ex machina.
All in all, its an overhyped show. Avoid if massive plot holes and inconsistent characters bother you.

It's a mixture of faith and reason. Every difficult to understand event in the show is filled with that dichotomy. The series shows variety of human behaviour and attitude towards inexplicable phenomenon. What people are capable of doing to cope with their grief and how do they make sense of the world that has changed so rapidly and irreversibly. It's a dark, brutal, bleak, fantastic, visionary mysterious, emotional, depressing, mystical, funny, crazy, liberatory and sublime show. It will drag you through the dirt and then lift you up in the sky. The cast is phenomenal and their acting is mind-blowing (it's almost disgusting that actors from that show were notoriously ommited by the Emmys). I'm pretty sure that Max Richter's music in the show can move anyone to tears. I cried like a baby on so many scenes.
