    The Last of Us has vaulted into the best show on TV - better than Succession, Yellowstone (RIP), White Lotus, and Severance. I beat both TLOU games three times and I think they are the pinnacle of all of gaming. I am so glad they also will be the pinnacle of the Golden Age of TV. Well done everyone involved!

    Great first episode. Pascal is superb and Bella is pretty close to Ellie on her body language.

    I’m so in love with this story that it is difficult to imagine what a viewer without my emotional investment would think. But I find it difficult to believe that they too wouldn’t soon be utterly enthralled in Joel and Ellie’s story which is faithfully and skillfully reproduced here.

    The Last of Us is probably one of the best video game adaptation ever made. Being brought to life brings this material to a whole new other level. With the crew behind HBO's critically acclaimed Chernobyl, this series easily stand out as one of the network's best effort. Kudos of course by GOT's alumni Pascal and Ramsay, already a standout in their previous appearance on that series andThe Last of Us is probably one of the best video game adaptation ever made.     Being a PC gamer, I haven't played the game. So, without any previous knowledge, I've watched an excellent tv show, with well developed characters, pretty cool effects and a story that keeps me wanting for more. A big plus on the absence of constrained political correctness. Congrats on a job well done

    Even if you don't play video games, you would still find it extremely enjoyable and emotional. It's very cinematic and every character is doing amazing job, sometimes even better than those performances in the game.

    Love it all the haters need to get over themselves and stop watching if they're going to get triggered over characters that have always been gay. So many people are showing how little they paid attention to the game by getting mad about Bill, boy are they gonna get mad if they when they find out about Ellie, or other characters from Last of us 2. Stay mad nerds.

    Metacritic reviews are usually a cesspool, not even fun to read and laugh at because people don't have any real thoughts of their own, just "WOKE, MISCAST, I MISS WHITE JOEL!!!"

    What a bunch of BABIES. Lol

    Lol The first episode was captivating. Loved it. Wanna see where it goes.

    I love the people upset at the casting of artificial characters made in a game engine. The actual actors playing these characters do an amazing job and these 0 ratings are ppl obviously upset at the race swapping.

    That being said the actual show is amazing and expands on the game and changes subtle things to make it fresh and less predictable. Pedro Pascal is a spot on Joel and Bella    I love the people upset at the casting of artificial characters made in a game engine.     The music from the game is implemented well here and the special effects are what you expect from HBO (Top tier). Overall for a Pilot episode it was everything you wanted and I cant wait to see more.    … Expand

    Sencillamente fabuloso. Está todo perfectamente construido. Incluso para la versión española (de España) han mantenido las mismas voces que el juego. A su vez todo es muy reconocible respecto al juego inlcuso compartiendo frases y escenas

    La adaptación ha superado con creces mis expectativas.

    Really good show, great acting, writing, production and direction! I was almost burned out on zombie stuff but I went ahead and forced myself to watch this and WOW! First four episodes are fantastic. I know the second game was really controversial and I didn't play it so we'll see how season 2 goes but so far season 1 makes for excellent television. I love the actor who plays Ellie, she's so good!

    I made myself a nice warm latte and started this text just to say 2 things: one– this show is absolutely magnificent in every possible aspect; and two– this coffee tastes even better while reading the reviews of bigots and incels who haven't even been able to dent the User Score. It's a nice day today.

    The atmosphere and environment is almost identical with the game. The sound design is so good, I can hear baby crying and people shouting behind the wall. The set is awesome, specially when the outbreak begin. Pedro pascal is great as Joel, and so does Bella as Ellie, the both great. And all the other support cast also very talented.     The great adaptation of games for TV! The Last Of US is the most faithful and detailed representation of a game ever made for the screen, and is a love letter to the fans. Congratulations HBO for the adaptation, and as a fan thank you very much!

    As an emotional and deeply invested fan of the video game series, the prospect of bringing this to television format has a very high bar to clear for me. I am happy to report that it's kick off not only met but also exceeded my expectations!

    Everything a smart videogame's fan wanted to see, his/her favorite game becoming a really good TV or cinema adaptation. This series goes beyond the game, deeper and deeper into the Story and into spectator's emotions. Superb cast doing a wonderfull work with characters that deserves no less.

    Always trust HBO with the adaptations, they are simply the best in quality.
    While the original videogame's story beats remain the same it feels so much expanded. Pedro and Bella are perfect as Joel and Ellie. Can not wait for the next episode.

    Watched the entire first season, with my brother who reviewed it, and as a huge fan of the game, this is easily the best adaptation ever, and it’s also just a fantastic tv drama, episode 3 with bill and frank is one of the best episodes of tv ever, and nick and Murray will be easily getting all the awards for that.
