    Thought the 4rd episode was good, in fact compared to the previous ones was way better but once you compare it face to face to the games cutscenes... o boy its a cheap version, pedro is ok, not great but ok, but bella ramsey its not at the level needed, she has less range than stallone, should take more interpretarion lessons.

    The show is worse when it moves away from the game's writing, but its insulting when they copy pasted some dialogues just to add a silly line between and change the whole spirit of the scene. Theres laziness doing the show, with a lot of passivity for the details of the original script. The lack of zombies is due to lack of budget in producers words, not due to creative design, is pure medicrity.

    I was enjoying the show for the first 2 episodes but it went full woketard in the 3rd episode. There is no reason for this episode to even exist. The show runner decided Joel and Elle needing a car needed to be spun into an hour long meaningless love story that had nothing to do with the show. My opinion has absolutely nothing to do with the gay aspect either. I would feel the exact sameI was enjoying the show for the first 2 episodes but it went full woketard in the 3rd episode.     Loved the first Last of Us game. I watched the first 2 episodes of the show and thought ok a bit boring but decent enough. Then came episodes 3. One hour and 20 mins of complete filler. I had to fast forward most of it as it was so boring. What a let down.

I like the fact that they changed the race of Joel's daughter and that she is black now ! Pedro Pascal is really good as Joel also.

    The only "bad" thing that I could think of is that sometimes, I'm not sure why, in some shots, Bella Ramsey makes me think of Gollum from The Lord of The rings... it's maybe from the way she moves or something.    … Expand

    I really disliked this series. It’s not loyal to the original content, plus it’s poorly written in some situations like: “the fungi can’t survive in temperatures above 35°C” ~ “The ‘global warming’ will make the fungi to adapt and evolve.” Such dialogue doesn’t make sense. Plus this series is full of w0ke things. It doesn’t deserve our attention.

I've watched the first 3 episodes and already I'm disappointed. The acting is high-end, the FX are there, but it's an empty shell -- there's nothing fresh here. Precisely because these ratings were genuine.    Metacritic and all other review websites have lost all credibility with these endless "10/10 AWESOME!!! EXCELLENT!!! BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!!" reviews.

    Not too long ago, you could take a single look at the overall ratings from metacritic, imdb, etc and at a glance tell whether a tv show or movie was great, good, mediocre, or awful. Precisely because these ratings were genuine. Now every bland piece of garbage (except something that's almost a crime against humanity like Velma), is a masterpiece according to these websites.

    6 its a good punctuation for this series comparing to other tv shows, but it doesnt live up to the video game, also the lack of infected in a lot of the portion of the show (of the first 5 ep, only in 2) makes the world of this adaptation to be a walk on the park compared to the video game, they could at least put them in the background or in stealth scenes.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Joel dies early in season 2. Just in case you don't know. As a huge fan of the first game, I was excited for this season. Then it quickly became obvious that, just like with the second game, the team involved in adapting this story have again decided to focus on all the unimportant, trivial aspects of the story. To give you an example, there isn't a single straight white man in the show that isn't evil lol. Episode 3 is nothing but Ron Swanson making out with another guy with a big beard, the whole episode. They completely forgot to introduce Bill since they were so caught up in telling us about his boyfriend and how much they love rubbing their beards together. I was invested, but episode 3 took me out. No need to tune in on Sundays anymore. I don't know who they made this show for, but whoever they are, I hope they love it lol.… Expand

Today, it has to be at least equal or better or it's just another beyond-tired zombie show. Hopefully, it'll win me over in the coming weeks and I'll alter this review/rating.

    Episode 3:
    As agenda-pushing at it felt, I wouldn't have been okay with it if they were straight either. It was a perfectly fine "filler" type episode..but damn, they're telling the entire 1st game's story in just 9 episodes and they're "wasting" it with stuff like this?

    There are only 6 episodes left... But gaining brownie points is higher on the list than telling the game's main story I suppose.    … Expand

Il y ici un gros problème avec le casting. On se permet de changer les personnages, comme celui de Joël maise ne vais pas partager l'enthousiasme presque général.     The character of Tess has nothing to do with the game one, she was badass, as dangerous as Joel (nearly killed Ellie when she knew she was infected), almost the gangster queen of the quarentine zone. In the show is so soft, bad survivor and absolute idiot in that final scene that its a bad joke comparing to the one of the game.

    Bill its also nerfed in the show. In the game he is so badass he had the controll of a entire town, but the town itself is dangerous full of traps, clickers and runners, even a bloater, (he even use some infected as defense against the hunters surrounding Lincoln). In the show its only a neighborhood and its as clean as a todays stores showcase, even after 20 years of apocalypse.

    Game's Bill would have killed this **** tv Bill in one second. Also he didnt even meet Ellie, what a disappointment, they had a really interesting interaction.

    And after 3 episodes Ellie is still a non like able girl, very badly portrayed by the actress and the changes on her behaviour makes her a worse character (even if they are subtle changes, all of them are for worse and are killing the characters evolution that is so well done in the game).     Alors surtout, si vous avez joué, aimé The Last of Us, le jeu, ne regardez… surtout pas cette nullité nulle à chier ! si l’acteur principal qui incarne Joel est ok, celle qui joue (très mal) Ellie, est une catastrophe : un laideron sorti d’on ne sait où alors qu’Ellie est si jolie dans le jeu, intelligente, charismatique et volontaire : un personnage si dense et formidable ! et dans la série, on se retrouve avec une fille affreuse et sans aucun talent : ça fait mal de la regarder… tenter de jouer Ellie !

    De toute façon, tout le reste de la distribution est à la masse, de même que bien des changements apportés à l’histoire, laquelle est devenue une connerie sans queue ni tête… Une connerie volontiers wokiste qui se traîne par ailleurs comme une tortue dans le coma. Tout sonne faux ici, tout est tellement bâclé, c’est un cauchemar de crasse nullité à tous les étages ! une horreur de nullité totale, une sous-merde effroyable ! c’est vraiment pas regardable, fuyez, pauvres fous !    … Expand

    I didn't play the game so can't compare. I don't like this show. The child's demeanor indicates she is a privileged, arrogant know it all. She's rude crude obnoxious doesn't listen can't follow instructions. She is 14 years old and that "f" word is constant plus she calls people names. She is ungrateful for everything that is being done for her. So unlikeable. I only made it through 3I didn't play the game so can't compare. I don't like this show.     Almost none of the characters respect their game counter part, every one of them has suffered some type of change in their personality, Ellie being the most different one, but Joel too its a simpler, flatter person.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The entire show can be explained as a series of massive setups with no payoff. An entire episode is a flashback whose only purpose is to explain how they got the car they're driving. Who cares. An entire episode is dedicated to worldbuilding a town's 'civil war' and Joel's forced to take sides. Very next episode literally everyone dies and there are no lasting consequences. Pointless. I haven't even watched the whole thing but I'm sure if you just watched the first and last episodes you would understand everything because nothing in between serves any purpose. Summary: "2 strangers grow closer moving from point A to point B during the worlds most uneventful apocalypse" 2/10 for decent acting… Expand

    "The Last of Us: Season 1" is an insult to the groundbreaking video game it's based on. The characters are poorly cast, the storyline drags on, and the adaptation fails to capture the emotional depth of the original. A prime example of how not to adapt a beloved property for television.
