This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I loved seasons 1-3 and I loved season 4 up till episode 8... Just stop watching after episode 7. The show goes full on woke... Uhtred finaly has something good happen to him by becoming the leader of Mercia. But the feminist writers couldn't have that... Instead Uhtred proposes that they give the throne to Lady Aethelflaed and they give her the throne... This was like GOT with Sansa all over again.. This woke trash needs to stop destroying my favourite tv shows and movies just to serve the sjw feminist... Its so sad cus I was loving season 4 up till this happened. And guess what I actually like Brida who is a woke character. But I think the show does a great job with her. But it's not enough that they have a woman as one of the best warriors in the show. They also need to take the throne away from the lead and give it to Lady Aethelflaed..... I'm giving this show a 0/10 now. Before this woke trash I would give this show a solid 8.5/10... It's sooo sad...… Expand

This show has potential but its brought down by some laughable writing. The acting is good but the writing goes down the toilet in season 4.

Discount Vikings basically. The writing is subpar, the characters and acting are at least reaching average levels of quality and the overall story is just piss poor. Basically take Vikings, throw out any questions as to what the hell is going on and just go with it and THAT is The Last Kingdom. I really tried enjoying it as I love Vikings (and even the spin off, although it's less good) but this was hard to get through even the first season.… Expand
