The story progresses nicely and the action and production values are terrific. This is no Game of Thrones, but every bit as enjoyable as Vikings on the History Channel. Full Review »

It seemed the original success caught the production team by surprise and couldn't put together a script worthy of Season 1. Too bad. Full Review »

I can't remember how I got started watching it, but I was hooked from the beginning. The series follows Uhtred, a Saxon boy who is kidnapped by Danes early in his life and raised by them. As a young adult his Dane family is killed by a traitor, and so the journey begins for revenge. Without spoiling anything, it can be said that Uhtred's soul belongs to both Dane and Saxon, which is cause for some very interesting plot weavings. And the characters that follow him, both good and evil, are some you care about. Either you want them to succeed, or you want them to perish. They are so well fleshed out that you can't help but feel their joy, pains and hardships throughout.

The show is very well put together. The acting is top notch. The scenery, locales, costumes, effects... Everything is done so well! I can't praise it enough.

For fans of Vikings, this show is for you!
