Shaun is supposed to be an autistic savant but the show mainly focuses on his failings and the less than stellar ensemble cast of characters. Sure it would be boring and unrealistic to make Shaun a hero every episode (ala Doogie Howzer) but he is supposed to be a good doctor, not an inadequate mess.

Supporting characters too one dimensional and generally not a pleasure to watch. I can see why actors are letting their characters die off to be rid of this mess. It would have been more believable to have the doc become disillusioned by his career and romantic setbacks and embarrassed by his inappropriate relationship with a subordinate and accept another position he deserved in another state. No need to kill off the character with an unfix-able injury. Too trite.

Wish they would have canned the **** doc who stupidly had a surgery that is all but guaranteed to limit her career as a surgeon.

This is the Good Doctor. Shaun needs to be front and center most of each and every episode. Otherwise it is just another hospital show.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. When a woman gets out of car with blood down the front of her white wedding dress that is bloodsoaked from her bellybutton down, we know she must be a stabbing victim or have a gunshot wound.
Nope. Despite the impossibility, she's bleeding from her uterus which, according to the show, is apparently in her bellybutton.
Seems no one responsible for this show understands that uterine blood exits from ones vagina and would flood through (especially when sitting) to the back/seat of her pants/skirt. Not the front. The back.
How nobody noticed is beyond comprehension, and shows gross negligence on the part of the writing and production staff and even the actors. And they should have medical oversight before BS like this.
Until now, I have been a fan of this show and of Freddie Highmore's.
I'm ashamed that they have been so ridiculous. A viewer can suspend only limited disbelief. Not this.
