This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love The Flash honestly but the way the writers the showrunner have handled it through the seasons so far has just been disaster after disaster. I don't want to do a review looking only at the bad but I'll be completely honest.

Nothing surprising, the crossover story starts with Despero explaining the future that made "Barry" a post apocalyptic disaster due to him losing his sanity. Recycled plot we've already seen with Savitar. After this Barry shows Caitlin his speed, he was able to save two trains in 12 seconds. Again nothing surprising and nothing new, although a bit inconsistent with Barry Allen's lore since in season 4 he used to do the same thing probably in 3 seconds. Past that, we are introduced to a very interesting plot of Iris as the editor of Citizen Media but that sub story becomes irritating with the inclusion of Allegra. Anyway, completely unnecessary but interesting subplot for Iris' character. Then we have a subplot that adds nothing to the crossover the Royal Flush Gang, literally nothing related to Despero and as always completely predictable villains. Barry ends up defeating them at the end, however I must say that there is a very nice scene and it is when everything is shown in slow motion, finally Barry is the fastest man in the world and does not fall to the ground as usual although with the arrival of Despero I would retract my words. The only good thing I could say are those nice scenes and the inclusion of Ray Palmer. Everything else is purely mediocre, Barry's mirages are not surprising either, we had already seen them in season 2 against Doctor Light. Barry who was running at Mach 2 at that point was able to perform them as well as Thawne and now he manages to do them ? Dear writers, Barry already knew how to do that, what are you thinking? At this point in the story Barry should be running at Mach 100 or above. Anyway I am intrigued by the crossover and hope it honestly gets better. The only thing I liked were Barry's scenes and I hope they give him more screen time, because honestly all the other characters seems unnecessary.… Expand
