Much more down to earth than Wandavision and refreshingly well-balanced. Some of the new characters don't hit, but the action is top-notch and the character development starts off strong.

Probably too early to review/rate, but a strong start out of the gate! Great SFX and action. Filling out the background on Sam and Bucky with skill. The potential is there!

(I had a dark trepidation the show would give me the history of TV game shows or some such hog snot. When it didn't follow the path of "Wandavision", my joy sparked high and bright)

Gran comienzo aún sin ser fan de falcón la serie te entretiene ya que esta cargada de acción y también sobre los problemas que afrontan tanto bucky como Sam en el mundo real después del chasquido de thanos.

Excellent series so far. Right off the bat, amazing action scene with Falcon. You could fool me if you say that its a movie cause of how it looks and feels. Nonetheless, this series have a heartfelt backstories of Sam and Bucky as we got to know them better as just a normal human beings dealing with their trauma and money problems.

Excelent start for a TV series. Waiting for more of this. Most of bad ratings come from same guys just wanting Marvel to fail.

Right off the bat, it's so captivating during its first sequences. We jump right into the action and the audience is given a prominent setting that sets up this spectacularly exciting new marvel show. With contrasting sequences between the two title-characters, we are teased the beginning of something which can only get better going forward.

Didn't have much of a expectation going into this series. Thought the Wandavision series left a lot to be desired towards the end. This episode has changed my expectation completely loved how to much dived into both characters in just one episode, very down to earth but action packed at times. Lands perfectly into the current situation in the MCU under the 5 years of lost time for a lot ofDidn't have much of a expectation going into this series. Genuinely interesting pilot episode with excellent, theater quality action sequences and the promise of finally getting to know the often background characters Sam and Buck. So far they are human and real, but still feel like old friends. If it’s half as good as wandavision, Disney will have another smash hit

So far this show is off to a pretty solid start. Much better than the trailers would have you believe. Rather than an insane action story this show is more character driven.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Great action, intense fight scenes, outstanding acting, subtle humour and natural chemistry between the two leads. This, is an excellent series!

Even more so given rumoured reshoots/rewriting to remove a virus storyline that may have made for an uncomfortable watch given the pandemic. Sam and Bucky's chemistry throughout is pitch perfect. Bucky seeking redemption, Sam feeling the weight of expectation. Walker's rise and descent is so well played. Every scene with Bradley is exceptional and painfully relevant. There will be complaints that this is playing up to current events and "trying to be too woke" but for me it landed perfectly. Bringing real world issues into this fictional universe without pandering or sugar coating. My only criticism is the reveal of the power broker, felt a bit on the nose but other than that this show was fun, exhilarating, charming and so so relevant. I for one cannot wait to see what comes next.

It all plays out well in showing the transition of Sam Wilson in the wake of Captain America's passing from Falcon to Captain America (not really a spoiler - it's all over the place and in the comics). The journey is interesting and focuses on good villains that spiral themselves out of control and become the things they swear to fight against - irony at its finest. The series also seems to be setting up a/the big villain for the "Phase 4" set of MCU content which makes this fairly important stuff to watch through. Don't forget to watch the end credit scene at the end of episode 6.

What really hurt the series for me was the unnecessary virtue signalling that occurs heavily in episode 5, and a bit in episode 6. Disney made some things about race and citizenship status - two obvious tropes in the real world that are controversial and not simple. Sam's comments on the immigration/nationalist ideas weren't necessarily wrong but they felt gradoise - over the top, that felt like it was intentionally being force fed to the audience both in the series and you and I watching at home. I didn't care for that at all and am becoming worried that Disney is trying to change the beauty of the MCU and force us to not have that escapism and instead being drilled with their attempt at appearing as the "good guys" of Hollywood by sucking up and pretending they're somehow "one of us". They're disconnected millionaires that live in a different world and I don't appreciate them all trying to make fools of us by shoving idealistic garbage down our throats at times and making race-based jabs for a series that isn't really about race. Not even Black Panther was so overtly controversial like this series is in a couple small spots. I enjoyed the series. I would have enjoyed it more without the droning politicking here and there. The Captain America shield made for the best story to follow, in my opinion, and anchored the short series. It was nice to see Bucky get some good airtime too as a good guy dealing with real problems as opposed to knowing him mostly as The Winter Soldier.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier looks as though it will play out as a fine, straightforward action series. But no Marvel output can exist in a vacuum and so far, with its by-numbers action sequences and troubled hero narratives, it’s a little unimaginative.

Marvel’s second Disney Plus series is off to a very promising start, finding a healthy balance between the blockbuster thrills fans love and the personal drama that gives them meaning. It’s still anybody’s guess as to where this story will go next, but you shouldn’t have any hesitation about going along for the ride.

Once it gets its heroes together it starts to feel more confident, and interesting issues are touched upon, but so far it’s just a little routine.
