Two young outcasts who feel no connection with society and apparently they do not fit in any place but they ending up revealing that the only thing they need is human contact. That's kinda cliche.

Like a tween version of Dexter. The show would be compelling if it wasn't for the totally predictable plot points accentuated by mediocre writing, poor direction, and shallow plot. Believe me, the formula for the show is: characters mull around for a bit, lame femme fatale does something wrong, sad commercial music plays, perhaps action/suspense scene, then repeat. The characters are also total rubbish, which would be fine if they had any redeeming factors but they at the end of the day don't. Again, if you're just any older than about 17 than this show becomes exponentially more and more cringey and shallow and I really wouldn't give it any more than a cursory glance. Expand

I don't why people and reviewers seem to like this show so much. The performers are all competent. The cinematography is great, though sometimes it felt more like Canada than Scotland.

But, the writers are bad writers who thing they are good. The plot is tortured and relies on ridiculous coincidence to force personal growth. This plot was a reboot of a coming of age drama. This series

This show isn't bad, but it is overrated. There is a lot of good TV out there, and a lot of better shows are getting much less attention than The End of the Fracking World.

    Somente divertido.

The End of the F***ing World is well acted and well produced, but just not my thing. After watching all of season one, I am curious how they plan on continuing the story as I know a season two is in the works, but I don't know if I am interested enough to actually watch. I was not charmed by the off-putting, sort of nihilistic vibe the show has and personally require a lot more sugar toThe End of the F***ing World is well acted and well produced, but just not my thing. End has the edge in writing, acting--especially by Ms. Barden--and ambition [over Everything Sucks!].

At once a joyful watch and a morally destabilizing one, it bears some relationship to “Fleabag,” another dark British comedy driven by the narration of a deeply screwed-up individual, plotted so that its more compassionate themes come as a pleasant shock.

It’s funny, and it’s sweet; it’s violent, and it’s romantic. Its leads are both reprehensible and totally sympathetic; both scared kids and responsible adults. It seems the mark of an honest production that the characters are arrestingly recognizable--and revealed so thoroughly to the audience that judging them feels impossible. By the end I was unsure if I wanted them rounded up by the authorities or free to go out in a blaze of glory; the only thing I was sure of was I wished there were more episodes.
