Nov 12, 2022The two-year anticipation is very much worth the wait. Love this new season with splendid writing, acting especially Elizabeth Debicki and Lesley Manville. It deserves all awards love from Golden globes to emmys.

Nov 9, 2022This season is by no means perfect. However I feel like the low critic's reviews are based on watching a few episodes. The season is a slow burner. It catches fire in the second half. It's also controversial in that it implies that William was embarrassed by Diana. Although based on recent events, its believable.
I still refuse to like Camilla. -
Nov 11, 2022Unbelievable series! It has such an unsurpassed atmosphere. And the actors this season are just on top.

Nov 11, 2022Watching the fifth season of the series, like the previous four seasons, was very enjoyable for me. It is shocking that the critics have been less kind in rating this season of the series. The fifth season of 'The Crown', with a new and capable acting team, has been breathtaking and admirable once again.

Nov 9, 2022The Crown S5 is so controversial that made me want to watch why HAHAAHA. Not a fan of Netflix because of its overrated teenish shows but The Crown gave me literal goosebumps. It lives up to its reputation as one of the greatest shows and best Netflix’s flagship show today. A must watch and rewatch for many!!! Give Elizabeth Debicki, lesley, and Dominic those awards. i see a sweep here.

Nov 9, 2022The cutthroat white rich family drama is more addictive and satisfying than ever! The civil war between the House of Windsor with a perflect blend of family drama and politics. A true cinematic masterpiece on television is worth the wait of two years after getting numerous accolades. It did not disappoint. Writing, Directing, and Acting are brillant.

Nov 22, 2022Elizabeth Debicki is sensational. Perhaps the best Diana ever. The show around her is borderline dreadful. It's the most blatantly monarchist season yet, most evident in Dominic West's Prince Charles, a portrait so shockingly forgiving and flattering that you have to wonder if the crown held a gun to Peter Morgan's head.

Nov 20, 2022the season contains some scenes that are not needed. Also, it lacks the excitement it created in the previous seasons, especially season 4.
On the positive note, the acting is still very well. -
Jan 7, 2023It's still one of the best series currently running. Well conceived, well written, well produced and acted. Though I can't deny that I was rather underwhelmed by this season. It felt repetitive in some parts and was missing a really engaging character or storyline as there were in the previous seasons. Which is a pity since the cast was first rate as ever.

Nov 15, 2022As riveting, stylish, compelling and addictive as ever. Give Elizabeth Debicki all the awards.

Nov 9, 2022Curiously Prince Charles was left handed until season 5! Also loving series 1-4 I was disappointed that series 5 was slow, dragged out and did not live up to the excitement of my waiting to see it. Sadly very bland.

As usual, the crown and its duties have a way of making everyone miserable. Except for the rapt viewer. [21 Nov - 4 Dec 2022, p.4]

Startling letdown. ... The season lacks narrative deftness and historic scale. ... Season 5 takes a more he-said, she-said approach to her [Diana's] marriage. The depiction rings true, though it lacks the camp and chaos that enlivened the previous version. ... Season 5 shies away from the inevitable; Dodi is smitten with a different spotlight-seeking blonde by its end. Because of that timidity (and the compressed time frame), the larger arc feels incomplete, structurally unsound.

Even with an impressive and capable new cast anchoring the proceedings, Morgan’s approach to the personal lives of the royals is too sympathetic to ever be damning. The new season of The Crown never risks challenging anyone’s reputation. Instead, it merely risks its own as a compelling show.
