I liked the structure of the episodes this season, and the storytelling e.g. Episode 5 following **** break in attempt. Can get a little slow at times

Not nearly as strong as first two seasons. Season 4 lacks interesting events other than those about Princess Diana. Episodes are generally mundane filler. The best show Netflix ever made. The acting, story, visual, even though sometimes you hate the characters, it's the fault of history, not the production.

The 4th season of The Crown is a dazzlingly well crafted piece of art, full of the most splendid acting performances — I’d like to mention the amazing work by all the cast, especially Olivia Colman, Emma Corrin, Gillian Anderson, Helena B. Carter, Josh O’Connor and Tobias Menzies. Such a joy to see this cast shine in the great series The Crown is.

I was looking forward to the Princess Di story line and this season met and exceeded expectations. The Crown keeps the bar high and this might be the best one yet

A surprising drop in quality. Still very good, but felt a lot more black and white moralising over Charles & Diana's relationship than was needed, or was fair.

Amazing actors, well written, I can't watch two episodes on the same day because all episodes are really deep in themes, love this show.

Emma Corrin's Princess Di and Gillian Anderson's Iron Lady quickly make their way up to the best performances on The Crown. While this season drifts towards Charles and Diana, it still balances itself with politics, duty and of course, a wonderful Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth. Overall, it is a shockingly good season, combined with amazing acting.

The best and most addictive season yet. All 10 episodes of the royal drama are a binge-watcher's dream. Olivia Colman is the shining jewel in ‘The Crown,” but Emmy love, please, for Emma Corrin as Lady Di and a knockout Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher.

The dissonance between spoiled Royals and the modern world has turned darker, and the nobility seems a lot less noble. But it’s still a fascinating mess for us mere mortals to watch.

The richest season to date of this juicy drama. [23 Nov - 6 Dec 2020, p.10]
