The ick-factor of Creep is indeed higher than ever—yet tough to look away from. This guy gets up to so much heinous shit in this series, but it’s weirdly impossible not to be at least partially charmed and fascinated by him. Talk about creepy.

I was entertained by The Creep Tapes. It all pretty much depends on Duplass to make us laugh and creep us out, and he delivers.
-
The levity that came with "Creep" and its sequel film is all but devoid in this new chapter. Watching a cat-and-mouse game pan out over six episodes has never been so dry and truly boring as this.
-
Though it deviates from its predecessors, the final episode is not enough to bring “The Creep Tapes” back from the brink of cobbled-together chaos. The show never uses its found footage format in a unique or interesting way. Genuinely terrifying moments are few and far between.

Duplass plays him with slapstick humor à la Buster Keaton. Even when he's hacking victims to pieces, he's too goofy to evoke any fear.
