If only the delicacy of these two character actors [Alfred Molina and Michael Keaton], were matched by that of The Company's central figures and the production's overall arc.
-
Some of it is very enjoyable, some of it is silly but still enjoyable, some of it is too silly to be enjoyable, some of it is not silly enough to be enjoyable, and some of it is neither here nor there.
-
The spy story, wartime bullets and intrigue carry The Company, though the writing and story are unnecessarily obvious.
-
Unfortunately, the project is too short to do its subject matter justice and too long and clumsy to keep us involved--a problem compounded by Chris O'Donnell's boyishly bland performance as The Company's central agent.
-
There's no nice way to state the obvious--that despite the creative stamp of producers Ridley Scott, Tony Scott and John Calley, stars Chris O'Donnell, Alfred Molina and Michael Keaton simply don't work in their roles, obscuring the solid supporting work, especially by Tom Hollander.
-
The Company delivers no real chills, just a quaint Cold War amusement park ride.
-
We go on watching because of Keaton.... Otherwise, The Company is both surprisingly slow and remarkably tendentious.
-
This sometimes thought-provoking drama may be too familiar and slack for all but the most spy-struck.
-
If you can view The Company's as a basic thriller, and ignore its gaffes, you'll find entertainment here.

PamP.Aug 19, 2007Interesting dramatic depiction of what happened in the old days, but could hardly hear the dialogue because of the overly loud music!
