    The Characters is weird without trying too hard to be weird. For as much careful attention to detail as there is, there’s a general ease to the series. The production value is high, but it never feels overproduced.

    The Characters is worth checking out too, because unlike Party Over Here, its comedic voice is immediately distinct. Every episode is devoted to the idiosyncrasies of its host.

    This is a great watch for anyone who enjoys irreverent, off-the-wall comedy. Think "Tim and Eric..." or "Comedy Bang Bang" rather than "TheThis is a great watch for anyone who enjoys irreverent, off-the-wall comedy. Think "Tim and Eric..." or "Comedy Bang Bang" rather than "The Big Bang Theory". It's quite obvious that each comedian was given a full amount of license in the creation of each episode. This can make things a little jarring as each installment is very different than the previous one. Not a lot of traditional "jokes", but if you want to watch original comedy and get to know new comedians this is a great place to start.… Full Review »
