Mar 3, 2017The Blacklist stands on James Spader's performance and for that reason it's always entertaining. This spin-off however has no one of that caliber - just wooden actors. Best avoided.

Feb 24, 2017"The Blacklist: Redemption" is not quite an originality, but it works just fine by giving a wider look into this world it created. Despite the lack of changes to bring some fresh content into the story, the formula is suitable to provide a good amount of action.

Feb 23, 2017Within the first five minutes of the new crew assembling; I was convinced I was watching little more than an update of "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE". Over the top, and little of the mystery that makes Blacklist watchable.

Mar 6, 2017"Redemption" cannot hold a candle to the original "Blacklist". "Redemption is just an attempt by the show's producers to keep the franchise going after James Spader and company either call it quits or "Blacklist" is cancelled.

May 5, 2017Another pointless spin-off that easily ranks with Beyond Borders in terms of how dire it is. My prediction is that this series will die quietly after the first series. In reality though what needs to happen is for someone to take it around the back now and put it out of our misery with a double-tap to the head.

Mar 9, 2017Let me start by saying, this is not the blacklist. More like a rehash of action series seen formulated to drive the tension: without any character or much of a story. Its bland, stupid at best, and I will not bother with another episode.

Mar 29, 2017What a total waste of time, Unbelievable childish spy action, I cannot believe this has been allowed to use the Blacklist name. Shame on the producers of this 2nd rate Rubbish.

Blacklist: Redemption is a sturdy show built on a smart premise.

The real question for The Blacklist: Redemption’s future success is whether or not Janssen and Eggold will be able to carry a title that has been, until now, entirely dependent on Spader’s magnetism. Based on the premiere, it seems unlikely--Tom is not even the second-most interesting character from “The Blacklist,” and Scottie’s mystique makes it hard to feel intimately connected to her character.
