The Game:
Can you recognize the personalities and characters of those from the tv show The Big Bang Theory?
Best Answers:

Aug 27, 2012As a self confessed geek, this show is just hilarious. The jokes are not mean or cruel, they just have an element of truth in them, situations or character traits are often taken to the extreme of course, which always makes for the best comedy.
-
Aug 8, 2012A hilarious show with well thought out characters and episodes. Although the jokes about nerd culture won't appeal to all, and the sex references seem out of place it's a show I can recommend. And has me dying to watch season 2.
-
Jul 29, 2012This show is HILARIOUS. I was laughing my butt off because it is so funny. I'd say that this show is for maybe 12 and up. It is truly a great show and one that will be one of the greats in my book :)

May 8, 2012The first series gets off to a shaky start, but as the series gets deeper into the lives of the characters, you get to know them a lot more which helps with the humour in the sitcom.
-
Apr 21, 2012Love This Show. The first season is a lot better than other shows. You have to watch.... You'll be addicted. I adore Sheldon... And of course his relationship with Penny. It just gets better
-
Apr 17, 2012I give this show an A+ 10/10 because it is soooooo funny. I mean who doesnt love horny geeks trying to get a hot girl, and having one geek have so many querks is the best. My favorite sean is season 4.
-
Apr 8, 2012This isnt comedy. This show is not funny in the slightest. And its not because im not clever enough to get the jokes, its because there are hardly any jokes in it, and whem one does finally come along, its the opposite of funny. Is there even a plot? I cannot believe the number of people that actually swallow this garbage.
-
Apr 2, 2012Chuck Lorre is an absolute legend at least when it comes to this show. The actors also giving star performances. Only one complaint: although there is constant whining from the protagonists that their social and intellectual status prevents them from any physical relations that does not seem to be the case!
-
Mar 17, 2012A very funny show. Many people will pass this off as just another American sit com and they will be right to some extent, but The Big Bang Theory is solidly written, acted and executed. The characters are very funny with Jim Parsons as Sheldon being the highlight and overall its a great tv show that you'll have a lot of laughs with
-
Mar 9, 2012juxtapositions: the show
horrendous jokes, cliched characters, uninteresting plot and an out of control laugh-track that forces the lesser minded audience (which is to say, 90% of them) to laugh every 2 minutes, I don't think I have ever seen a more unfunny show in my entire life. -
Mar 7, 2012I personally love this show and i cant wait each week for it to come out, i love the charecters i find them witty, funny, and wierd. The show breaks from the norm and makes it own territory

Feb 17, 2012I tried hard to watch this show based on what everyone else haas said about it, but I couldn't make it past the first part. The laughter was forced and the dialogue was generic almost to overly mishap the relationships between the "nerds." This is bad example of tryingto get the geek culture into mainstream.
-
Feb 10, 2012it's fun and time flies by when you watch . that's all i want from a TV series . it's not as 'epic' as FRIENDS or a Bat Watch or CSI , but it's simple and fun , nothing more , nothing less :)
-
Feb 3, 2012This show is entirely unrealistic but not in a good way. It relies on a cliched and offensive view of "geeks" & intelligent people that is entirely inaccurate. Being smart doesn't make you socially inept or prone to deliver corny & obvious science jokes. That said, a lot of people think this is how smart people behave. I guess you can't blame Chuck Lorre for pandering to that demographic.
-
Feb 1, 2012I Love this show best show since prison break. funny jokes, funy punch lines and best sitcom that ever set foot on the television franchise make more seasons until i die
-
Jan 27, 2012If you like this, you have no soul. Fodder for the cheeseburger, trailer park trash public. Guy below me writes "Although it feels like the jokes are repeated" still gives it a 10. Shows you how much people really care about what goes into their eye holes. Stupid rednecks.
-
Jan 24, 2012I used to only watch scrubs and two and a half men, but then I saw the big bang theory. Since I first saw that glorious episode I have been hooked by their hilarious, nerdy and just plain strange life ever since.
-
Jan 22, 2012This show shows the appetite of the masses is for junk food.Just a lame show with canned laughter which makes it even worse. Bring back Archie Bunker or the Honeymooners.. They were funny..
-
Jan 6, 2012Don't be fooled by the physicist characters and their occasional academic talk....this show is pretty low-brow. Sometimes the main characters are true-to-form, other times they just feel like stereotypes. And sometimes the show gives you Married With Children-style raunch. Come to think of it, there's a lot of that.
-
Jan 6, 2012The Best Comedy Show Ever... Even Better than F.R.I.E.N.D.S. in many cases...........................................................................................................
-
Dec 14, 2011Not really my favourite season, but is just fun. It has a fresh story and is well perfomed. I just doubt that any other TV serie can be better than this. Cute and funny.
-
Nov 21, 2011I can not stop laughing. This show is hilarious. The characters are appealing and the science jokes are original. One of the funniest shows to come along.
-
Nov 12, 2011eally great as ever sheldon and his friends is more cool and funny than ever i really like it. Leonard Penny Raj ,Howard, sheldon, amy, bernaddet, miss cooper

Oct 23, 2011A fresh idea but executed poorly. Pandering to masses, BBT explains in excruciating detail any reference to geek or pop culture and eventually becomes just another sitcom. Over use of laugh track detracts from actual jokes, while many of its characters rely on the same gimmick far too often.
-
Oct 7, 2011This is totally the funniest show on TV. Sometimes the jokes seem repeated, but they're still funny. Sheldon makes me laugh my ass out. Raj, Howard, Leonard, and Penny are also funny. The way Raj and Howard react to Leonard's mom accusing them of being in a homosexual relationship seems a little homophobic to me, but other than that, this is a Chuck Lorre masterpiece.

Oct 3, 2011It's understandable that many many people doesn't understand the a huge part of the show, indeed at the begining they used to make more complex scientific jokes, but now they decided to make it more simple. I'm agree with JamesU when he says: "This is a wonderfully written comedy, if you understand the science behind it"
-
Sep 29, 2011Big band theory is a wonderful show....I love mostly Jim parson and kunal nayyar...I hate the girl and his boyfriend in the whole show..they should learn more acting...the other guy with kunal nayyar is cool too!

Jun 14, 2011not bad first season. watch it and get introduced to the characters.
it will help if you know some science too. wait for the next couple of seasons. you won't be disappointed. -
Jun 11, 2011No està malament, sobretot les bromes relacionades amb la fÃsica (malhauradament no tothom les entendrà ), però a mesura que passen les temporades la qualitat de la sèrie descendeix.
-
Mar 24, 2011The first two seasons are borderline good/average, but afterwards it's just a downward spiral to boredom, geek/nerd cliches and bad jokes, they should make the show less Sheldon-centric and give more space to something else.

Mar 8, 2011An extremely smart show, the jokes sometimes are repeated, but delivers a good laugh. The actors are great. The plot is funny. Very smart dialogues. An smart comedy show for smart people.
-
Mar 2, 2011What a great idea I thought at first. Finally a comedy with smart people... but it is ruined by the annoying blond, repeated jokes and cliches. The best thing about this sitcom is the opening song.
-
Jan 20, 2011This is my now my favourite show, the comic genius of Chuck Lore is absolutely limitless, the references back to the classic sci-fi and fantasy and how they typically represent the nerdy comic collectors is just brilliant.
-
Jan 9, 2011The dialogues are funny, and are supervised by real physicists.
The plot is nothing exceptional, but all together, the world nerd, the girl next door, and the brilliant minds of the characters, make this show unique.
Sheldon's character is brilliant. -

Dec 19, 2010The first and second season demonstrates how even a geeky, nerdy, and sex-desperate bunch of guys can be hella fun. The Big Bang Theory shows more promise than any other sitcoms out there right now. The show gave Jim Parsons a chance to show off his unlikable but likable at the same time, face. What a great show!
-

-
Dec 3, 2010When compared to such sitcoms as 'Friends', this refreshing piece of work may not seem so emotionally gripping, however 'The Big Bang Theory' has enough originality, side-splitting jokes, and bravery in surprising the viewer in a humorous fashion.
-
Nov 25, 2010The least funny show on TV. Surpasses Two and a Half Men, which I believe is created by the same people, by a mile in terms of unfunniness. My parents... Oh Lawdy, how can they think this is funny at all?
-

Nov 15, 2010hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahha! that is all I would like to say about The Big Bang Theory :D
-
Nov 9, 2010Can this show get any funnier? I even laugh when I hear Howard's mother screaming from another room. I laugh from start to finish as this ensemble cast is simply the best. The writers on this series earn their payday and then some as each line is funnier than the next. I do miss it not being on Monday with those other strong comedy shows. I do not watch the other shows on Thursday.
-
Sep 23, 2010Although it can sometimes feel like jokes are repeated, the show is a shining example of geek culture, full of funny comic, movie and video game references that young people, like me, will lap up.
-

-
Sep 2, 2010Starts off slow but picks up really quick with very good humor and funny characters. Sheldon Cooper is one of the funniest characters on Television. The show has everything for everyone
-
Sep 1, 2010Honestly, this is the funniest show I have ever seen. It has replaced The Office as my favorite comedy. All of the characters bring their own unique personality and loads of humor to the show.
-
Aug 30, 2010This is a terrible piece of trash. Do not watch this unfunny steaming pile of junk. How this won an Emmy is a mystery, canned laughs, junk dialogue, flat characters....what more could you want?
-
Aug 13, 2010I'm sorry but there is something seriously, fundamentally, achingly, scarily wrong with that 8.2. I'm actually literally scared for the well being of myself and this country.
-
JeremyGiamMay 24, 2010Obviously the humour in this show does not appeal to reviewers but let me tell u this show has one of the best "Nerd Humour" ever.

JustinMApr 10, 2010Intelligent, science jokes are a welcome break from the typical mindless plebeian jokes seen on virtually every other sitcom now and in the past, beside perhaps Frasier - in fact, thinking on it, The Big Bang Theory is a less pretentious Frasier for the science inclined.

NickyBFeb 20, 2010Absolutely awesome, watched the pilot and was hooked, made my bf watch it and we are seriously ADDICTED!!!every episode just gets better and better....VIVA BIG BANG!!! P.S. To those banging on the stereotype card: Maybe you should consider that a show like this actually makes people see a different side of those so-called-stereotypes or maybe its just me that see it that way.

LongNNov 13, 2009The show's portrayal of true geekery is dead on and the jokes requires geek knowledge or at least exposure to true geekdom to understand. The fact that some of the "professional" reviewers rated the show so low, and their reviews, shows that they have no idea what they're talking about. Obviously, the real comedy in the show is going right over their heads.

JamesNSep 22, 2009This is one of the best comedies in a long time. The cast is amazing together and they even admit to having some "geeky" qualities. The Chicage Tribune is clearly reviewed by a "popular" person who cannot relate to the story line. While those of use who toed the "popular/unpopular" line or were immersed in subjects that clearly made us geeks see the complete brilliance of this show.

It may not be a creative breakthrough, but it's lots funnier than the universal equation would predict.
-
Standard setup? Sure. Standard execution? For the most part.
-
The show might even have been engaging, if the one-liners came less frequently and the characters had a little more dimension. As it is, Sheldon and Leonard are merely laughable, if sweet, and they are even less fleshed out than the characters on "Two and a Half Men."
