    If you ever wanted to be a fly on the wall while Paul, John, George, and Ringo created masterpieces, then you should watch this documentary because that is what it is like.

    If you're going to consume a nearly 8-hour documentary miniseries on any topic, I have to believe the topic interests you quite a bit.

    I'm mentioning this because several of the criticisms of this work is that it really doesn't seem to have any direction and Peter Jackson just let it run. And to a certain extent I can agree. The second part is a very clear example of that, because    If you're going to consume a nearly 8-hour documentary miniseries on any topic, I have to believe the topic interests you quite a bit.

    I'm mentioning this because several of the criticisms of this work is that it really doesn't seem to have any direction and Peter Jackson just let it run.
    And to a certain extent I can agree. The second part is a very clear example of that, because after all, you're just watching them play a little bit and talk a lot.

    But for that very reason this documentary is only for hardcore fans of the band. For people who will find surprises in the details. Details they have evidently read about for years because of that same interest.

    The Beatles: Get Back is not a documentary about the Beatles per se. It's a documentary about a moment in their career when the end of the band was already in sight, and the friction between them was more than noticeable.

    The ending itself is what it has always been.
    Although the Get Back sessions predated the Abbey Road sessions, and that album was released earlier. The concert on the rooftop of Apple Corps headquarters was the last time the world got to see them play live. They never performed together again. And it was nothing massive, but it became utterly legendary.

    Unlike the Bohemian Rhapsody movie which converted my youngest son to a huge Queen fan, I don't feel this documentary will usher in new Beatle fans. Instead, it rewards existing Beatle fans by showing the creative process from start to finish of some of their iconic songs. The documentary also showcases each member's unique personality, role in the group, and frustrations. But the mostUnlike the Bohemian Rhapsody movie which converted my youngest son to a huge Queen fan, I don't feel this documentary will usher in new Beatle fans. Instead, it rewards existing Beatle fans by showing the creative process from start to finish of some of their iconic songs. The documentary also showcases each member's unique personality, role in the group, and frustrations. But the most important thing it shows to me is dispelling the myth that they hated each other as their mutual respect and brotherhood is evident. Peter Jackson does an amazing job of making you feel as if you are in the room with the Beatles during these sessions. It is not perfect, by no means. Some parts drag on and seem unnecessary. But overall this is a perfect 10 for me. An absolute pleasure to watch.… Expand

    This is heaven for Beatles fans or anyone who is interested in any sort of creative process and seeing under the curtain. I do however think Peter Jackson should have edited this into a 2-3 hour documentary and then given us this as an extended version. They do play the same songs over and over, especially in the concert at the end, and even I as a huge Beatles fan was thinking "you couldThis is heaven for Beatles fans or anyone who is interested in any sort of creative process and seeing under the curtain. I do however think Peter Jackson should have edited this into a 2-3 hour documentary and then given us this as an extended version. They do play the same songs over and over, especially in the concert at the end, and even I as a huge Beatles fan was thinking "you could have tightened this up a bit, Peter."     I had a lot of fun watching it, not sure if a non-fan would have the same feelings as I did. So I'm biased on this review.

    It's amazing that we have this record of them for all time. I loved every second of this. It might come across as tedious to someone who doesn't know anything about The Beatles.

    The inside look at the Beatles as people is great. But getting to have a "in the room" access to watching great songs get created makes this a one of a kind masterpiece.

    This is really fascinating. You genuinely get to see exactly how the Beatles worked which is so interesting. It's also really psychologically interesting, as you watch 3 creative people trip over each other a bit, and where the tensions came from. Also, it looks incredible

    Interesting for Beatle fans but could have used tighter editing. Bit of a whitewash too. John Lennon, who seems out of it during Part One, later admitted he was addicted to heroin during that period.

    Absolute bliss for a Beatles fan. This fly-on-the-wall experience was surreal and invigorating. To see the genesis of so many iconic Beatles tunes (along with the sometimes tense and sometimes jovial interpersonal dynamics between John, Paul, George and Ringo play out in real time) was sublime. The Beatles: Get Back is the entertainment highlight of my 2021; without question!

    It feels like you are in the studio with them and laugh and have a very good time . I am a beatles fan and i enjoyed it i hope non-fans enjoyed it too.

    If you're a Beatles fan, this is an absolutely fascinating doc. If you don't know much about the Beatles, it may feel a bit slow. I absolutely loved it.

    It’s crazy to see how many songs the boys riffed and worked on that didn’t end up on the Let It Be album, that’s how great they were. Documentary is a bit aimless, but it looks and feels like it was shot yesterday, good job in that regard by Jackson and his team.

    There’s more, so much more, but Get Back’s real revelation is how much real joy there was within and between The Beatles, even as their end loomed.

    Most big fans of the band will find this a fascinating insight into the relationships between the four, with nerdy musical insights into the foundations of many of the songs that ended up on the album, and some that didn’t and became classics for the members as solo artists from 1970 onwards. However, for a casual viewer, at times this ‘air’ in the room might be too much to keep them gripped – so be prepared.
