Are Republicans really this stupid? I watched the March 4th show a few minutes ago, and I'm stunned at how unprofessional and unfunny it was. How did the guy working the laugh track know when to turn it on? By the way, great timing having Ann Coulter on. Again, are Republicans really that stupid? Yes, they are.

It's as if Stalin in the 1950's tried to do a comedy show. It's scary to see just how hard these self-righteous, dogmatic, intolerant conservatives try to be funny.

I have to say, as a long term republican, this show is an embarrassing failure. Is this the best that we can come up with? And with a very low expectation of the intelligence of the average viewer. Fox must really think that we're a bunch of I have to say, as a long term republican, this show is an embarrassing failure. This show is the worst excuse for comedy i have ever seen. Its got an overused laugh track, and it needs it because there just isnt anything funny. Conservative humor is out there, and it can be funny some times, like Dennis Miller, but, this just doesnt come close to anything remotely entertaining to anyone. Can i rate this below a zero? Expand

I'm giving this a 10 to do my small part to keep this on the air because I really think that a weekly half hour of neocons trying to be funny just serves to make younger folks say to themselves, "Yeah, these are the type of people I want to associate myself with." But for those of you who are "seriously" giving it a 10 and trying to defend it, come on. Lay off the kool-aid. But for those of you who are "seriously" giving it a 10 and trying to defend it, come on. Lay off the kool-aid. I know that "The Daily Show" and "Colbert" tick you off but try to take ideology out of the mix and just see this for what it is. This is painful, god-awful stuff. It reminded me of a couple of high school kids trying to do a "Weekend Update" schtick. Come on now, folks. Nobody's listening. You're all alone at your computer. You can admit it. This blows like a Class 5 hurricane, doesn't it? There now. Doesn't that feel better? What Fox really needs to do is try to buy the rights to those clips from "The Daily Show" and "Colbert" where Stewart, Colbert, et al. are skewering the Clintons, Pelosi, et al. Between TDS and CR, there's eight shows a week. The clips slamming the left from each of them would easily fill up 22 minutes of air time for Fox and it would be light-years funnier than what they've got now with this. Expand

I just didn't think it was funny. Although I agree with the absurdity in the segment on American Civil Liberties Union, there was no punch line at the end.

Like most shows on TV, this show is aimed at a niche audience. And that niche audience likes it a lot. People who disagree with it's views will be endlessly annoyed by it, no matter how much it makes fun of conservatives. Like the Daily Show, some people will probably watch this show just to have their personal beliefs validated and just to see the opposing view attacked. I understand why many people gave this negative reviews......the first few episodes were shaky and seemed like they were trying too hard....but they've really gotten it right now, and it is now a witty and clever political comedy.

This show makes fun of liberals the way a 5th grade class clown makes fun of a substitute teacher. Luckily there's a Disney-Channel-style laugh track (roaring laughter immediately following every supposedly humorous line) so the viewer can tell what to guffaw at. To paraphrase Larry the Cable Guy: "I don't care who you are, that's just not funny right there."

Really, really, really awful. This is on a REAL news channel -- showing fake news. It's like Fox wanted to say all these things during the "real" news but can only get away with it in a "satire" (yeah, right) show. Not funny, tries way too hard, and ridiculously partisan. I give a 0, 'cause I can't imagine it getting much worse. (I will give it this: like Fox itself, Really, really, really awful. This is on a REAL news channel -- showing fake news. I'm not going to rate this show based on its ideology. I don't think that this show deserves a 10 just because it has a conservative point of view. I'm judging the show on it's own merits, not on the political views of it's writers. The fact of the matter is that the show is awful. It's derivative, unoriginal, and worst of all, it's not funny. In all honesty this is no funnier or entertaining than listening to, say, Michael Savage or Sean Hannity. Conservative humor can work. South Park and Team America skewer Michael Moore, liberal hollywood, PETA and environmentalists, among others, and it is funny. The tragedy of this show is that we need a good conservative comedy news show. But this isn't it and it won't be unless some major improvements are made. Expand

Well, the thing about the daily show is truth, done with tongue in cheek. I actually work on 24. Now, the next time I see Joel my smirk will will extra smirky. And let me point out again that perhaps a supposedly Fair and Balanced straight news channel isn't the appropriate place for and ideological comedy show. Or, at the very least it's REDUNDANT.

Absolutely one of the lowest things FOX news and Rupert Murdoch have ever done. The ACLU ads were simply appalling. Maybe these neocons don't want their free speech protected by the ACLU? The ACLU is actually protecting these wingnuts' right to free speech and FOX is ripping them for trying to prevent the demonization of former sex offenders???? A right wing satire is not nessesarily a bad thing, but the show isn't even funny! The jocks are all predictable and unoriginal, and putting fictional news on a 24 hour news chanel, while not exactly new, is disgusting.

The president skit looked more like a parody of conservative thought processes. "Well, after two years of a democratic congress, the economy is in ruins and we're internationally hated, but luckily, the conservatives are back in charge." Unlike, you know, how things are after six years of a Republican one. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?
