Maybe not in terms of storyline development (obviously), but in giving you a sense of what the show is about and the potential it has, and most importantly, it's the deciding factor in whether you're going to carry on watching it or not. This show's pilot absolutely sucks. I pretty much hated every single character, whether they were supposed to be the protagonist or antagonist of the story. Every single main character in this show is annoying. I tried watching beyond the pilot, but it's all the same. Poor character development, poor dialogue (the dialogue is cheesy as all hell) weigh what otherwise seems like a decent show down. Not worth even giving it a try unless you literally have nothing else to watch/do Expand

Clarke Griffin 'Wanheda' is by far the most revolting, delusional and selfish person i've ever seen in a tv show or movie. She repeatedly gets people killed instead of saving them, and has the audacity to pretend that she's doing it for others. This character is a walking contradiction and dangerous to everyone around her.

In this season the world is threatened by Primfaya, which is a green wave of radioactive... something? After four years of filming clearly no one on the production team has ever googled how radioactive energy or particles, as every representation in this show has been fictional and not realistic. As Primfaya is coming, people are murdering each other even more for silly reasons, and in the end it barely matters.

I could go on about how the writing is juvenile, cheap and pretentious, but that would imply that this is a show that should be taking seriously. If you take it with a big grain of salt there is entertainment value, especially after a day of work. At that point it will only aggravate you every time Clarke Griffin enter the screen.

I give it a 6/10. It's an average season of an average show.

why is almost 95 % of the scenes in all the episodes are dark. You cant see their faces but only the caption which is color white. How can you shoot a series in darkness. Does it always night time. For me, the series was great, but in fact the last part of the series was trivial and illogical, especially what happened between Bellamy and Clark, what Clark did really failed.
