    Os escritores da série foram extremamente preguiçosos a escrever os plots desta temporada. Uma temporada chata, sem sentido e com histórias previsíveis. As personagens só fazem m*rda atrás de m*rda e é quase impossível ficar do lado de alguém. Quando a A.L.L.I.E. aparecia no ecrã, entretia-me um pouco. Não mais do que isso. MELHOREM!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. From the very beginning, it was made clear that The 100 would be laden with stereotypical characters and tired tropes. Though S2 made up for it significantly with the engrossing Mt. Weather storyline, S3 has undone all progress and then some.

    It would be generous to say that the first half of S3 was mediocre. Filled with Games of Thrones-esque power struggles and an incredibly stereotypical villain (i.e. Pike, along with his crew), each episode was just a wait for the season to improve. Throughout all this, there was one redeeming factor: the development of Clarke and Lexa's relationship.

    Since S2, we knew that this wouldn't be a pretty and idealized relationship. But its messiness and complexity, coupled with some great moments of acting, are what make it so worthwhile. And then, out of nowhere, as if Jason Rothenberg and co. realized that an element of the show actually stood out in a positive way, this relationship was snuffed out in what is basically an accidental death, true to the CW's heteronormative tendencies.

    To be clear, I am fine with Lexa dying at some point during the show, but the way it happened was simply pathetic. It reinforces how the writers treat characters as utterly disposable, as long as you don't belong to the "core" characters (i.e. Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Abby, Marcus, etc.). Another great example of this is Gina, who was killed off so quickly that I almost laughed when it happened. And so, although the writers may defend their incompetence by pointing to the high death count in the show, most of those deaths are nameless Grounders or insignificant side characters like Gina, or Hannah (Monty's mother), or the short-lived Ice Nation Queen, or Aiden and the other Nightbloods. The characters that actually "matter" are surrounded at all times by an absurd amount of plot armor. And knowing this show, I never worry for them when they face even the direst of situations, because I know they'll escape with only minor injuries.

    Lexa was at the point where she was almost developing into a character that "mattered," someone who would complement Clarke nicely and form a memorable duo in an otherwise forgettable series. Alas, all that potential was denied by a stray bullet.

    As for the second half of the series, it was a slight improvement. The whole rogue AI conflict (which initially seemed to be ripped from the Terminator series) was better than the political conflict of the first half, but was also a convenient way to put so many characters' development completely on pause.

    I am not sure how S4 will be, but my expectations aren't exactly high. There's a reason why the ratings are dropping each season. And there's a reason why The 100, despite its potential in S3 to create something memorable, will ultimately go down as an unremarkable, stereotype-laden teen sci-fi show full of cliched dialogue and laughable pseudoscience.    … Expand

The expression Clarke makes when she tries to talk her way out of situations and morale battles makes me want to cringe. Octavia's display of vengeance seems very childish and absurd in the way it was built up and concluded. Decisions are made harder than they need to be, everyone except Murphy actually has a firm grasp of their beliefs and ethics. Kane who has always been grounded in law and order is suddenly able to throw everything away in order to save Clarke's mom. Basically any character development that occurred does not have enough screen time to justify their actions and many times they conflict with the way their characters were portrayed brief moments ago. This creates a roller coaster of confusing characteristic changes to the point where it becomes infuriating and fake. It seems all the interesting casts are downplayed or killed off e.g. Raven, Lexa and Finn. Most of the scenes are drawn out unnecessarily which serves no purpose in improving our experience. Furthermore, their effort to vary their torture methods to enforce taking the key only takes away from the immersion because it is no longer the most effective way to get it done. I have many complaints for this season and i have watched a bit of season 4 with nothing to change my opinion of it. This no longer shows the promise it once did at Season 1 & for the most part of Season 2. I will be putting this show on hold sadly until something incentives me to come back which is unlikely.… Expand

    Season 3 was so emotional and hard to watch at times but it really picked up in the second half and reminded of the show that I first fell in love with. It's amazing to see our main characters work together and recognize that they are, indeed, better together. Lots of amazing themes and acting! Bob Morley was a stand-out. Can't wait for Season 4!

    Great season, fascinating plot, solid acting. I'll admit AI is one of my favorite subjects, making it more interesting to me than some others, apparently. I'll also admit some characters became annoying, but this happens in every TV show, and I've seen nearly everything. The best characters easily make up for it. Looking forward to season 4.

Like every show that has ever existed for more than a season, it has a couple of letdown episodes and necessarily dumb character decisions that fall a bit flat (but then again, the characters are all in constantly stressful and deadly situations, making bad decisions more likely), but it's all in service to a powerful payoff to an arc they've been buildingStill the best show around.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Nonsensical plot. Ridiculous, cringe-worthy acting. Some good ideas they had at the end of S2 could have been explored, but the show didn't. Instead it broke so many character development to fit the new plot, which shouldn't have required it. The new plot promoted genocide, xenophobia, racism, homophobia and misogyny, by using overused tropes and cheap violence, which is a complete turn from the selling points that the show used to promote. Alycia-Debnam Carey, Eliza Taylor and Lindsey Morgan pulled off fine acting chops, but even Eliza and Lindsey succumbed to the laughable writing sometimes.

    What could have been a progressive show about leading women in post-apocalypse, became a show where the lead character became a doormat for undeserving verbal-beating by her "friends", the most powerful female commander of the apocalypse world succumbing to a death akin to slipping on a banana peel, the female chancellor making stupid decisions resulting in tragedy and then giving up entirely, a female "badass" warrior who flip-flops her allegiance with no rational sense or consistency, and the smartest female char in constant suffering. Go girl power!

    TBH, this season managed to grab my attention to the end even though they managed to ruin the story in the end.
    The AI thing is executed so bad that it completely ruined all the previous story and intrigues. Heda's death had an amazing potntial but it is wasted so quickly that the story literally got dumb afterwards

    Although season 3 of The 100 suffered from several setbacks it still overall pulled an excellent season. The fascinating themes and complicated story line really brought the whole show together.

    - High death toll. The amount of characters killed was exceedingly high even for a show in the context of The 100.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Season 1 was ok, then season 2 came along and i was shocked on how much this show evolved. Now we have season 3 that started really strong with interesting and exciting twists and scenarios, but it looses all of that realism that is almost Game of Thrones-ish and goes full CW with that whole A.L.I.E plot that doesn't make sense and is too convoluted for it's own good, and so it looses all the realism this show had. The story feels so tiny, everyone bumps into each other in the woods all the time, and not enough grounder culture explored to make me buy into it, and whenever they try to add sci-fi elements into it, it feels out of place or vice versa with the gritty grounder elements. The way they tried to connect it all together by the end is just painful to watch really. The characters..oh my god, they go full retarded mode in the second half. None of their decisions make sense, none of the "dark character developments" make real sense and there is no real lead up to it. Clarke has gone through so much (especially this season) and you would think that that would change her like the way it did in the first couple of episodes this season, but in the next episode she is cracking up jokes with her friends. Octavia's character is the only interesting character to me really, and i hope they really turn her dark, i don't want any backpedals cause it's CW or whatever. She saw Lincoln die (which his death was almost pointless if not to develop her character). This season was a mixed bag, the first 5/6 episodes and Octavia's character arc is what saved this season for me. I give it a 6. sad. I gave season 2 a 8.5/10. I thought the show figured out how to mix the sci-fi with the drama, but it couldn't help itself. It still remains the best CW show out there, and this season is not a bad season in any stretch, i wouldn't skip this season if you're a fan.… Expand

This review will most likely be updated but so far I'm very impressed by the subject matter the writers have tackled and their ability to keep this show moving. It can be argued that The 100 was at its most effective the first season when it focused on the "kids." The situations were all easy to relate to, with compelling characters and plenty of action to keep a viewer entertained throughout, but no post-Apocalyptic story would be complete without a broader understanding of what took place to create this planet rooted in tribal conflicts. The writers gave us one aspect of it in season two, telling us the story of Mt. Weather. This season they take on the Ark, how it was created and what ultimately led to it crashing back down to earth.

    There is a tremendous amount of material and the writers are plundering everything they can find, including Shakespeare. This might be a bit of a turnoff for some teenagers, who don't like to have to wade through all this nonsense like they would high school literature class, but it gives the central characters meaning. Clarke has become a wonderfully complex character and her relation to Lexa goes far beyond what anyone could have imagined. Octavia has similarly grown in richness. Her transformation into a Grounder is now complete thanks to Indra. These two characters represent what the transition to life on earth really means while everyone else around them continue to struggle to impose their own order, save Kane, who seems to be the only adult who understands the girls. Abbey is as clueless as ever.

    The exposition can at times be cumbersome, but much of it is needed to explain the rival forces that make up the "Grounders." I thought Lincoln was underused, as he has spent much of season three in jail. The writers don't seem to know what to do with him, which is a shame. However, they have given us a pair of very compelling siblings in Roan and Ontari, who appear lifted straight out of Shakespeare. Pulling together a coalition of the 12 tribes proves to be no easy matter for Lexa as she battles the Ice Queen and her children.

    There are plenty of allusions here to the early colonial days in America, and the survivors of the Ark are clearly meant to be the early colonialists. Will their firepower be enough to overcome the vast horde that wants their blood? Lexa proves to be quite cunning but she has much to overcome, including her own inner circle of advisers.

    The "kids" are now forced to navigate this reimposed adult world, feeling like their own experiences matter little. Only Kane appears to realize that they are the bridge to a new world, but has to wrestle with opposing forces in his own camp, which has been renamed Arcadia. Fitting, given some of the early Utopian attempts in America. Jaha has returned as a savior of sorts, peddling his "City of Light" like someone offering LSD tablets at a 60s rock festival. This sub-story doesn't fit very well with the main story, but I assume is being saved for next season.

    Again, there are many twists and turns, so I shouldn't get ahead of myself, as I still have 6 episodes to go. But, I have to give credit where credit is due and the creators of The 100 have come up with one of the most entertaining sci-fi/fantasy stories in quite a while. Good job!    … Expand

Yeah, some of my personal favorite characters died, but I understand that this show is about survival. I recommend to those that dig the gore, dark vibes from a show. This isn't a unicorn and rainbows kind of show. I really can't stand all the backlashPersonally, season 3 was by far my favorite. The gay was buried, the second one was almost buried but not really resolved and Clarke is having a pretty bad time. He sees chipped ALLIE´s army torturing Luna and says "I will take the chip if you stop torturing her". Next scene is chipped Luna´s boyfriend torturing Luna. Didn´t he really saw that coming, that the moment after he was chipped it would be him torturing Luna?

    The same happens with all the stupid characters that eat the chip. Abbie, who is supposed to be a smart leader, chooses to sacrifice her full people just for one person (Raven) and the result is that she doesn´t save Raven neither her people, as Raven tries to kill herself many times after Abbie took the chip just to save Raven. Kane takes the chip to save Abbie, yet Abbie almost kills herself to force Clarke to take the chip.

    All that intelligent people, didn´t really see that coming?    … Expand

Shawna Benson, writer on The 100, went onto L chat, a forum specifically for lesbians and bi women, and told them that if they did not trust The 100 writers to treat Lexa with respect, and LGBT fans with care, that they should get professional mental help. Just google 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Lurker' for more info. Lesbians and bi women still, to this day rarely ever trust their characters to be treated well or even to survive in movies and television. They have been jaded after literal decades of bad representation. But they trusted Shawna, they trusted Jason, and they trusted The 100. And once again, they were betrayed. Do you know what it does to an already vulnerable community like the LGBT community to see themselves do nothing but die and suffer onscreen? To come to an unaccepting home, after a day of bullying, and to have solace in nothing, not even TV? If you have ever been in any sort of dark place in your life, and filled the void with movies or TV, you should know how important media is to people. Please don't support a show that actively continues this awful treatment of LGBT fans. As a bisexual 16 year old boy, I am asking YOU to help change this for us.… Expand

    The plot of this show is like a 12 year old's fanfic - character's making obvious, stupid decisions, everything happening at once, trope after trope, this show is predictable, boring, and poorly written.

    This season is just bad and full of tropes. The actual plot stopped making sense after 2 or 3 episodes. Don't even bother trying to stomach the rest of it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I began really enjoying this show. It was edgy, it felt progressive, it was interesting, and shockingly brutal for a show on The CW. The first two seasons were fantastic. Unfortunately, the greatness of those two seasons has been undone because of Season 3. There have been very few television shows in which I abandon it -- and I've never abandoned one in the middle of a season. I couldn't believe it when this show fell victim to the "bury your gays" trope. The storyline in the current season was boring and wasn't all that interesting, but I was looking past it because I loved the characters and I loved the cast. The "bury your gays" trope (which is used all too much) along with the treatment of cast by showrunner Jason Rothenberg has really turned me off the show. I'm disappointed, I'm upset that something I was very emotionally invested in let me down and all for shock value. Even though the first two seasons were great, I will likely never re-watch them. Morally, I don't think I can stomach it.… Expand

    Love this show. Amazing in so many ways. Not afraid to mix it up, get dirty. Pretty good representation, never mind what some people say. Great actors. Decent plot. Unpredictable. Thrilling, even. Remarkable for a show aimed at teens. Maybe comes off as too harsh sometimes.
    All in all, a good show. Will keep watching.

    This season has become unwatchable, losing the once original and solid premise. Plots have been poorly constructed, leaving plot holes and issues unresolved from previous seasons. By far the worst part in my opinion has been the character assassinations and nearly all characters in this show.

    The only reason you could possibly ever watch this is if you work for the Guinness World Records and are considering awarding the show for the most plotholes seen to man. Otherwise please don't waste your time on this one. It's definitely not worth it.

    The show started out as one of the best and strongest female ensemble casts, good overall ensemble cast, wonderfully talented young actresses and actors, a nice mix of more seasoned actresses and actors and the strongest female character I've seen on TV, Lexa, since Buffy on BtVS. In season 3 theCW and the100 writers and executive producer have destroyed their own show, seemingly taken their own COL wafer and created something I can't watch it is so bad, something so misogynistic it makes me cringe and something so poorly written plot holes are as big and numerous as pot holes on roads in Minnesota.

    The show unfortunately ruined all of it's potential by trying to be like the Game of Thrones (a knock off version). This resulted in a poorly written plot with numerous plot holes which makes it hard to follow. The excellent character development for the main characters was completely ruined and now they are very flat characters with no depth.

I enjoy watching intelligent shows and season 2 seemed to offer a show with characters worth thinking about, but season 3 has debunked all of that and it's so disappointing to have thought this show had something to say only to learn that they, like most other popular shows, are simply chasing ratings. The 100 is part of a sad trend of shows that are falling fast this year.… Expand

    If still covered in The CW’s tween sheen, and occasionally reliant on frustrating character archetypes, The 100‘s ultimate goal to thrill is so relentlessly achieved, that that list in your head may as well start making room near the top.

    The good elements of season three--and there are quite a few--may allow the show to rise above and/or excise the weak elements and return to top form by mid-season. We’ll just have to see.

    You wish The 100 had budget, time and talent to produce grander verisimilitude. Still, the vision shines through, and the cast works hard to serve increasingly complex characters and relationships.
