If you were raised on a diet of Fifty Shades and, yes, Colleen Hoover books, then sure, all of the pulpy car wrecks, steamy hook-ups, and years-long treacheries will continue to titillate. But Tell Me Lies remains at its best when it tells us truths.

Between the old lies and secrets that everyone is keeping and the new ones that have just been revealed, the show redefines “guilty pleasure” as a show where the guilty get pleasured… and pretty much everyone is guilty of something.

Tell Me Lies Season 2 certainly won’t be to everyone’s taste, but those who enjoyed Season 1 are sure to find the second installment equally juicy. And while it may be tempting to write it off as a somewhat trashy guilty pleasure, I stand by the fact that reducing it to such isn’t entirely fair.
