Tatau just doesn’t leave enough of an impression to get under one’s skin.

Tatau is barely B-grade. But like a lot of shows these days, it offers the compensations of lovely scenery captured in quite satisfactory digital cinematography, in this case real locations in the Cook Islands and New Zealand.

I found myself not caring much about Kyle, Budgie or what any of these tattoos mean, but the cinematography is grand.

Tatau at times is diverting. Visually, it's simply gorgeous. But the story? Give me a break.

this show seriously needed its score boosting. I think its only fair to give something a real review after watching the entire series/story arc. This show was a surprising hit for me showing that BBC are not afraid to explore something totally new. loved the supernatural side of this show as well as the surprisingly not used as much these days "crazy locals on a foreign island." i thoroughly enjoyed this show and the characters journeys throughout. Decent Plot, Interesting Twist, Satisfactory Acting, Beautiful Cinematography

Nice to know that the BBC can produce a bomb now and then. "Tatau" is, in fact, a mega-bomb. Awful plot. Bad writing, Less than mediocreNice to know that the BBC can produce a bomb now and then. "Tatau" is, in fact, a mega-bomb. Awful plot. Bad writing, Less than mediocre acting. It's just awful.

A number of critics have commented on the show's beautiful south seas settings and images as some justification for the show. Not enough! If you want to see the beauty of the south seas, check out a good travel program. You shouldn't have to listen to the rest of the drivel that is "Tatau".
