The first episode of Tacoma FD is terribly unfunny, and hardly attempts to give viewers the sense that the show even takes place in the Pacific Northwest. I'll admit that, as someone that has previously lived in Tacoma, Washington, it was the supposed setting of this show that initially piqued my interest. The entire show is filmed in Los Angeles, which is a baffling choice considering the robustness of the film industry in Vancouver BC (where TV shows/movies set in Seattle, WA are often filmed).
Why even make a show called "Tacoma FD" if Tacoma, Washington State, and the entire Pacific Northwest Region are not included visually, thematically, or otherwise. This show should have been called "The Worlds Most Unrealistic Los Angeles FD" instead, at least that would have been a descriptively accurate title.… Expand
