    The show got back on track in a big way. sera Gabmles' 2 seasons' as showrunner pulled the show off course in a big way,but thankfully, she is gone and season 8 really ended with A bang, Havent been this excited since season 4 and season 5!!

    Back on track! More cross-country escapades makes this little Supernaturalite a happy camper. Castiel as a character has grown on me, though I still find the angels' plight puzzling.

    In many ways it may have been better to have ended Supernatural following its excellent fifth season. As has increasingly been the case since that seasons finale the show has sometimes felt as though it is retreading old ground and many episodes have lacked the payoff we have come to expect when it was at its peak. Even in a show as unpredictable as Supernatural it is not always easy toIn many ways it may have been better to have ended Supernatural following its excellent fifth season. Even in a show as unpredictable as Supernatural it is not always easy to accept when the Winchesters yet again escape trouble thanks to ‘leaps of logic’ or as a result of a fortunate coincidence for example.

    That’s not to say that the Supernatural remains anything less than watchable of course. Other than perhaps Misfits I can’t think of any other show where the protagonists can meet their time travelling grandfather one week and then fight Zeus the next and, even in the weaker episodes, the two stars have enough charisma to keep things entertaining. It may never hit the consistent heights it did at its very best, and it seems unlikely to ever do so again, but I’ll be sticking with this show for now at least.    … Expand

    I am glad this show got back on track. I was actually into this season unlike the last one which I thought declined horribly after like halfway through it. This season deserves full credit in my opinion.

    Supernatural. Season 8. They fall. A very busy season with many events. Here is heaven, hell, purgatory, angels, demons, a clerk, prophets, a knight of hell, whose heroes have not been for many years and all this in one season. And the most beautiful thing is the end of the season, namely the last shots.

    The problem with this season is that is just the same old. Dean and Sam are strained again, Crowely is still the villain, and the Leviathans are just gone without explanation. On the positive, Naomi was cool, but besides that, things are like I said, the same old.
