All in all, Supernatural is thankfully still Supernatural. The groundwork laid here is fundamentally solid and gives the impression that season 12 will make a lasting impact from start to finish. Read full review

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This season I could tell that the writers really tried. The new demon plot line was awesome, but Lucifer was kind of out-of-character this season. That being said, this season is definitely in the top six seasons of Supernatural.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Seeing where the series is going, it would have been favorable for it to end at season 12. The fights are lazy, the angels and demons are watered down even more and worst of all, there is no clear objective for 2/3rds of the season. Sam and Dean wander around aimlessly hunting your typical monster and most of the time questioning the BMOLs motive. The first few episodes are promising but it goes off the rails. Also, the dampened and dumbed down Lucifer, a fan favorite. In season 11, we he was unleashed he had a plan to fight the Darkness because he has vast knowledge of the universe. Here he seems to have the intelligence and understanding of the universe as much as an ordinary human. Hopefully season 13 can make a comeback but this season is a big middle finger to the characters and the world we grew to love.… Expand

This season so far would be getting a much higher rating if it weren't for Mary. She just annoys me so much and each episode she is in I can barely watch. 5/10 for right now but I will likely edit it once the season is done playing.

I haven't officially finished 12 so I may change my mind, but I'm starting to feel season 11 was the perfect ending. Mary coming back is just super annoying. Here is the problem right now with Supernatural. NO ONE REALLY DIES NOW, you just expect someone to return after a cliff hanger death.I haven't officially finished 12 so I may change my mind, but I'm starting to feel season 11 was the perfect ending. What fun is that really now? I LOVE this show, I really do, but if this show can't get back on the tracks for me it's going to be hard to watch it crash.
