Took a great season 1 and cookie cuttered the thing until there are just crumbs. Shame, really.

As -only- one professional critic pointed out, season 3 has turned into a fast-paced soap opera with cleverly written banter that highschool kids wish they could come up with this other than saying f*** every 5 seconds (in the show it's only every 30 seconds). It has nothing to do with the reality of a corporate world or jet-setting elite (which writers at least tried to protray in season 1 or 2). It's just a better version of Billions. Expand

After a 2year break and a jaw dropping cliffhanger the Roys return in real time stronger than before as if they never left. One thing i appreciate about this season more than the other's is seeing the relationship between tom and greg shift and seeing tom and shiv's romantic paradigm shift too. I rarely enjoy the episodic format but with this show it increases the thrill. Never would i expected a show about one of the worst family's to be so human.
Also that finale has one of the best scenes I've seen on television since the "red wedding", i was honestly shocked. The performances if i may again emphasis were **** phenomenal!

It is not that bad but previous seasons were better. Does anyone has the same view that the action doesn't go anywhere in season 3?

This review is based upon all the episodes of season 3 that have come out so far. I am a fan of the show, but it is struggling a bit this season. Feels like it goes in circles at times and the plot becomes a bit repetitive. Hopefully things move forward a bit more soon. Here and there are scenes that are total gems, but the pacing feels a bit off overall. You just made not find the current season as good as in the past. Hopefully that changes in later episodes. Expand

Succession somehow managed to get even better this season whilst other shows struggled to have a return to form.

Succession has to be one of the greatest satires of the current media atmosphere ever. Each character brings so much life to the show. I love how I simultaneously love and hate every character on the show.

I honestly don't get it. It's aggressive, pathetic, and they are all around this bipolar president awaiting for his directions. They are all morons. It is not entertainment, it is sad. Not worth wasting time

Oh boy, and just when you think you might know what may happen, you are stunned once again. A thrilling experience that pulls all the stops. I can’t wait for Sunday’s!

Only able to watch the first episode, but it is already more compelling than 99% of TV out there.

This season sucked. Nothing changed. Same old. Same old. This season rendered all of season two meaningless.

This season culminates in one of the best episodes of television. The war between Kendall and Logan wages.

A captivating nine-part struggle for power, season three is a near-perfect return for the critically acclaimed Succession, which never fails to remind you that your own family aren’t actually that bad when compared to the imploding Roys.

Worth every minute of the excruciating two-year wait between Seasons 2 and 3. ... This is cutthroat corporate theater played at a Shakespearean level, King Lear with a bracing shot of bawdy farce. [25 Oct - 7 Nov 2021, p.8]

Armstrong and his writers channel gloriously profane prose through each of them, ensuring that even the meanest, Roman, has a trickster's charm about him while the least – that would be Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) and cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun) – retain their humanity.... [Cox] lights the stage to give viewers a clearer view of his castmates' glow – and they're delivering true excellence in these episodes.
