    Brilliant TV Show. By far the best horror tv series I've seen. The characters are brilliant, the acting is simply spectacular (you would expect that from Winona Ryder, but every single actor does a marvelous job), interesting plot (this coming from someone that's not a big fan of horrors), and incredible directing. Top notch TV show, can't wait for Season 2.

    It's rare that I binge watch an entire TV show in an entire day, as I like to slowly TV shows slowly overtime so that it's easier to remember characters, the plot, etc. But Stranger Things is an exception, and I just had to watch the entire show in a day to find out what happens next. Really good characters, excellent synthesised soundtrack, with thrilling action and story.     The best original Netflix series yet, right up there with Daredevil. A thrilling thought provoking rolling coaster that has you totally wondering what the **** is going on until they finally string it all together in last few episodes. The second season cant come soon enough.

    75 by the critics? Totally underrated by critics... Just don't listen to them! It is powerful, it is marvellous, it is a masterpiece! If you are from the 80's like me or not it is impossible not to like the series, it is so refreshingly good that puts anything else aside... If you start watching it, you are not going to stop... I mean it!

    If Super 8 was good and made into a TV show with a quantum twist, it wouldn't be as good as this. A combination of the good parts of Super 8 (not as operatic), seasons one and two of the X-Files, E.T. and the best 80s Synth I've heard since the 80s.

    Seriously, in my opinion, even the music is amazing.

    I am very happy I watched this.

    Amaazeballz.. Horror well done in a world of weak psychological buildup. I hope Netflix makes more seasons. Excellent characters and plot, and I don't thing this review needs qualification. It just stands as a good horror piece The atmosphere is outstanding.

    WARNING! Addiction is guaranteed!

    Not a single boring moment. No filler episodes. This show makes you laugh, cry, scared, suspenseful, intrigued, etc. Not a single dull moment, while paying homage to the 80s, which is the golden age of creative entertainment.

    PERFECT. Stunning show I'm lucky I didn't know about till it got released. If you like twin peaks with a little more sci-fi this show is for you. The casting is perfect, even the child actors are perfectly in what I think is the first time in movie history. They are very realistic, don't act like geniuses and are just kids. Also a good part is that every actor is an unknown for the mostPERFECT. Stunning show I'm lucky I didn't know about till it got released.     Stephen King met Steven Spielberg and decided to create a little something for TV... It's a plausible scenario considering the quality of screenplay and story in this tv show. It takes place in the 80s, has a group of kids playing DnD, running around in bikes, meeting strange adventures and will surely bring nostalgia to many of the viewers. Incredible work, don't miss it !!

    E.T. meets Silent Hill meets X-Files meets Dungeons and Dragons. Basically it's amazing. Excellent 80's influences without being dragged down by them. Great child actors. Great soundtrack and sound design. Great writing. Great everything. This show is pure fun, don't listen to the critics complaining about it being to slow or anything like that. It's perfectly paced, is just the rightE.T. meets Silent Hill meets X-Files meets Dungeons and Dragons. Basically it's amazing. Excellent 80's influences without being dragged down by them. The style and storytelling are truly reminiscent of the great Spielberg films from that era, that delve heavily into an original adult sci-fi/horror/thriller narrative told from a kid's viewpoint. With the added plot line of the misunderstood loner and the smart-but-trying-to-fit-in girl, and with well-choreographedGreat visual and musical design the really takes you back to the 80's. The style and storytelling are truly reminiscent of the great Spielberg films from that era, that delve heavily into an original adult sci-fi/horror/thriller narrative told from a kid's viewpoint.     This show is a lot like Stephen Kings 'It' and 'The Stand' mini-series. It not only feels and looks like something from the 80's it has a great story and a lot of heart. I haven't enjoyed a horror series as much as this since the 90''s. It had me caring for the characters and cheering them on every step of the way. It also spooked me out a lot which hasn't happened since the 90's. IfThis show is a lot like Stephen Kings 'It' and 'The Stand' mini-series.     This is the SHOW of the years!! Amazing!
    The casting is extremely talented and just pure magic. The story is Perfect and the music fits perfectly to the setting. I recommend watching this tv show!

    Great show. Best child actors I've seen in a show/movie, great heroic sherif, right balance of scares and sci-fi, great 80s synth soundtrack. El is powerful and they don't hold back exhibiting the extent of her powers like most movies do. She uses them to their fullest potential as appropriate in the situations.

    An outstanding TV series with good old Stephen King, Spielberg and 80s vibe to it. Sci-fi thriller with bits of horror, drama and comedy thrown in... That somehow manages to be good at everything. Go watch it.

    The acting, the mystery, the families, the theme, the 80's horror, There is nothing to dislike about this show. It functions more like a long form movie. It is a great television series. A must watch.

    This Show is not shying away putting everyone in controversial Situations that can ´t be catagorized in "Good / Bad" Only topped by "Mr. Robot" which    Nailed the "80´s" Style and Vibe, stunnigly good (Child) Actors, very interesting premise. Every Episode reveals on as much is needed to drive it to it ´s conclusion. Never giving away too much, so you keep wondering what is going on.

    This Show is not shying away putting everyone in controversial Situations that can ´t be catagorized in "Good / Bad"

    Only topped by "Mr. Robot" which is a completely other Beast (and revealing for the "real" World as the Matrix was - So please watch this next ;-)    … Expand

    Show is tons of fun, with some great performances, particularly Mille Brown and David Harbour. It's not perfect, but closer to 10 than 9. Kick back with Schlitz and Whoppers and enjoy the 80s again. As long as you aren't expecting War and Peace you can't help but dig it.

    This show is brilliant. It brought back all the fond memories I have of my favorite films growing up in the 80's. It's like a Stephen King novel reminiscent of IT and Stand By Me mixed with The Explorers and The Goonies and paying homage to movie greats like The Thing. The acting is top notch.     Great series so far hits all the right notes for somebody who likes 80's sci-fi schlock. Brought back memories of movies like Goonies, Stand by me and IT. Strong show throughout i'd watch it again and will be looking forward to another season.

    .,, and release more of this as soon as possible! The soundtrack is outstanding. The cast is a mixture of unconsumed and talented. Usually I'm not a big fan of movies with children in main roles but this show taught me the opposite.

    Solid 10. 8 episodes building up nicely and smoothly - as for what the show is about? Read below or watch a trailer. To anyone complaining that it's in the 80s: it only works that way BECAUSE it's set in the age of minor technological advancements. Otherwise, it'd be X Files 2016 or any other mediocre scifi, solving that **** in seconds ;)

    The most fantastic Netflix Original Series this year. Enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish. The performances were incredible and the story is just amazing. I actually finished it twice and I'm just here waiting for Season 2. Thank you Netflix for bringing this masterpiece into my eyes. The best Sci-Fi series I have ever seen.

    i watched it with my 8 year brother,usually he doesn't like any TV series but with this he was hooked like anything ,it is a love story for fans of sci-fi,fantasy.it was thrilling right from the start to the end.

    I'm always wary of shows or movies that rely so heavily on child actors/actresses, but the performances from all of the young cast in Stranger Things are excellent. The combination of strong storytelling, great characters and a phenomenal soundtrack sets this show apart from the crowd. My only gripe with season one is that Winona Ryder has a tendency to overact at times. For the most partI'm always wary of shows or movies that rely so heavily on child actors/actresses, but the performances from all of the young cast in Stranger Things are excellent. The combination of strong storytelling, great characters and a phenomenal soundtrack sets this show apart from the crowd. My only gripe with season one is that Winona Ryder has a tendency to overact at times. For the most part however, she puts in a great performance on par with the rest of the cast.     Amazing, I loved every moment. I watched the entire series in one day and when it was over I could have watched it again straight away.

    Great acting from everyone especially from the little girl who plays the character 'five'.     This gets a perfect 10 from me, even though the final questions left were total ripoffs, they shouldn't make another season as the ingenuity & novelty of this perfect throwback to 80's kid adventure scifi would be lessened by just another season trying to tack on. This got the 80's down cold. I highly recommend it.

    cant rate this show enough. I discovered it late at night and it hooked me in and kept me watching until 6 in the morning. the last show to do that to me was 24. a must watch show

    It's the goonies meets the poltergeist in the Twilight Zone. A show that has Joy Division as part of the soundtrack is A+ in my book. Good acting, good story.

O final deixou uma abertura para a segunda temporada que já já será lançada e eu espero mais uma história autêntica, genuína, contando com maravilhosas atuações, com um roteiro impecável e efeitos especiais de dar inveja em quaisquer emissoras.     this serial's story is awesome and mysterius and when watching the final the serial is giving hint to you for 2nd season so this is my favourite serial of all time ı loved this ı can't wait to 2017 for 2nd season!!!!!

    I think the big PRO for Stranger Things are the actors who really add a lot in the authenticity department, for example Winona Ryder as the mom of Will, going completely insane throughout the series.
    But also the classic "ain't got nothing to do" Sheriff Hopper, who, as the series progresses, dives deeper and deeper into this government organized plot.

    The best TV show I have seen in a long time, many of the negative reviews seem to confuse the occasional homage and fun references with ripping off something. The show has it's own vibe and story, and while it may be kind of predictable just enough happens to throw you off that you are never sure.     Excelente serie, cada personaje tiene su propia historia.

    Es sumanente interesante como todas sus historias se separan del hilo principal y luego se vuelven a correlacionar, ha sido una grata sorpresa, y realmente tiene muchas caracteristicas que solo algunas pocas personas lograran apreciaciar.

    Los años 80s han sido casi pectamente retratados en esta obra. Una de mis series favoritas.

    this series is a little jewel, literally! I loved it, every single moment of it. I finished it in two days (which is almost impossible for me). Great writing and great story! The whole '80s vibe, ADORE. The children were GREAT they left me speechless. And Winona too! Great comeback! Highly recommend it, it became one of my faves within the first ten minutes!!

    When you bring to the audience great stories and characters and decide to make a less than 12 episodes per season series avoiding stupid and idiotic scenes filled with bull**** situations like in The Flash, Under the Dome or Once Upon a Time (as an example) you end with a brilliant and addictive series like this one...

    It's been a long time since a show "wowed" me as much as Stranger Things did. The atmosphere is full of mystery, despair, hope, and beauty. It completely nails 1980s science fiction to a "T". The acting is incredible, the cinematography blew my mind, the child actors were amazing and endearing, and the writing left me both with a filled heart and wanting more.     Just watched the first chapter last night. Everything about it is great, the actors, the writing, the fact that it takes place in the FREAKING 80s (YES!) and all the music. The theme music is completely on point...very John Carpenter-ish with heavy synthesizer sounds that are very menacing. Watch this show, tell your friends to watch.     One of the best shows I've watched in a while. Acting is great, and the plot brings me back to the 80 classics. Had to binge-watch over two days. What a great cast. Can't wait until season 2. A must-see for anyone who liked goonies, stand by me, or cloak and dagger (except ST is better).

The emotion she gives with her face and eyes is strikingly powerful throughout the whole show, but especially that scream she gives at the end. She is really in touch with her character.     For me this was a perfect show. It was thrilling, scary and addicting, but managed to stay clear of angst. It had great characters: the kids, the teens as well as the adults. It gave food for thought, made me laugh out loud a few times and left an unexpected warm feeling behind after the last episode.

    Stranger Things is in my opinion a masterpiece of a show. It delivered on everything I wanted it to and more. The writing and direction is on point, the performances (especially from the child actors/actresses) is fantastic, the pacing and build up of suspense works beautifully, the music is great, and the overall setting/theme of the show (classic 80s, pop culture references) makes for aStranger Things is in my opinion a masterpiece of a show. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) gives off so much emotion just through her facial expression and movement alone. She really gave a one of a kind performance and quickly becomes the star of the entire show. If you can't tell already, I absolutely love this show! Not because it is an inspirational show but because it is so well rounded in everything a epic series needs. Not many actors in this show were well known and brought attention for their name (the only actor I recognized to be frank was Winona Ryder) but that was ok. The script and their acting was so impeccable that they did not need to have big names to attract viewers. The show always left you wanting more and rushing to make theories (which we all most likely got wrong). The cinematography was amazing and the characters were dynamic and static. Some characters changed as the story went through. Everything counted for the show was amazing and I'd like to thank everyone who put into it. The actors, the screenwriters, the directors, the cinematographers, the light and audio specialists, the music coordinators, the special effects and general video editors, the props crew, the makeup and costume artists.     Loved this homage to all things John Carpenter. This mash-up of Goonies, The Thing, Eerie, Big Trouble and similar titles crafted foreboding, fright, plot timing and great acting into an entertaining feast.

All she was to these morons, was a test-subject, with little regard for her humanity. No better like a laboratory rat in a cage in the days before people started protesting against pouring shampoo into the eyes of rabbits.… Expand

    amazing! so I sat down to watch this show and I didn't know what to expect as I never saw a trailer and told to watch it by a friend. Not knowing what I was letting my self in for after 10 minutes I was hooked, it was liking watching Goonies for the very first time as a child and thinking OMG!!!

    This show is an example for other creators how to build up great atmosphere that allows viewer to dive into the story and be involved from the start to the end. The 80s were pictured so well that makes me wanna go back in time and enjoy it again. Worth to mention is the intro, when you first see the logo and the music you just know this must be something spectacular. Can't wait for second season!

    I'm a fan of Goonies, Poltergeist, and E.T. This show felt like a nice mix of all three. If you like the 80's style films and you want a show that has just a tad of creepiness, gore, and suspense then this film will definitely make you very happy! The Duffer brothers made a memorable series that has a unique story. Can't wait for Netflix to green-light another season, my itch forI'm a fan of Goonies, Poltergeist, and E.T.     This has got to be one of my favorite TV shows! I wasn't sure what I thought by episode 1 but by episode 3 I was hooked! I never really get excited to sit down and watch something anymore but I just could not get enough of this. I was on the edge of my seat as each episode ended, just wanting to know more.     Definitely one of the best tv series this year. The characters are amazing, and interesting.. I liked every single episode, because it was full of great music and stunning acting from the children. Stranger things is a scary and intens show with a lot of surprises.. And im really looking forward to season 2..

    This series was very well crafted, the kids did an excellent job, and the overall casting was A+.
    The special effects were exceptional. We hated to see it end, it was a total surprise; so good!

    This is the best show I have seen in a long time. After episode 2, I found myself thinking about the show and wondering what would happen next, something Preacher and Outcast failed to do. It does use 80s nostalgia quite a bit (which like), but the characters draw you in as does the mystery.     To put it simply, this is excellent television. The characters are all well acted and stand out on their own, the music is absolutely amazing and adds to each scene, the mystery unfolds in a compelling way and has us guessing till the very end. I would recommend this to just about anyone. Sit back and enjoy!

    I loved this show! I started watching it alone, at night, and I had to turn it off during the first episode because there were some scary scenes! But it's not all horror/scary. This movie is an excellent tribute to the 80s without hitting you over the head with nostalgia. The story is really unique, and even though the ending kind of tied things up, the audience knows it's not overI loved this show! Usually, I find child actors to be annoying or to take away from the viewing experience (hello, Sons of Anarchy and Dexter). I really liked how the supporting cast members developed into more complicated roles. The girl who plays '11' is outstanding. She made everything work. I came away from this show with that good feeling you get with a show does some real world-building. The secondary stories of romance and school bullies worked well. Everything felt realistic, and with the 80s setting and music, I bought in, 100%. I really liked how the monster was shown only in glimpses for much of the show. It was effective and scary.     One word: Awesome. Great casting, writing, directing, and acting. Winona gave a stellar performance for her character. The kids of the show is great, probably one of the greatest performance gave by younger actors and actresses. Telling yourself, "just one more episode" will be lie and you will realize that you are already at the finale. Thrilling and exciting.

    If your idea of a good show is Spongebob Squarepants, or your favorite movie is Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, then WARNING! Do not watch this!
    Everyone else, on the other hand, should watch this and have a great time. Awesome Show. It's not "Game of Thrones" awesome, but it's just a darn good time from start to finish.

    I have to say I have been loving the quality of some of the recent TV series. It seems that Stranger Things has been crafted with a lot of love for the genre and story. The character interactions for the most part are right on and believable for the time. Juliette Lewis tends to annoy me but she is passable with most other characters being very good in their roles. The editing of the episodes is first rate. You will be hooked by the first ep or so and cant wait to see the next episode if you are like me. I like how the stupid boyfriend is not your usual one note dummy but he is shown evolving into a more complex role than most one note tv written young males - very nuanced and well done IMHO. And that is just one example, the rest of the characters in the series inhabit their roles with ease and ring true in the way they act. There are suspense elements that are almost dare I call on the trope legend Hitchcockian in their well done pacing. I find horror movies that transmit dread to be some of the better ones as anyone can do lots of fake blood and STs pulls this technique off brilliantly. There will be times you wont know exactly what direction the series is going and that is a sign of good mystery so lots of good film making techniques go into this first rate production. Treasure this series as it is an unusual tv gem that will certainly grow on you.… Expand

    This show is really a "one in a million" kind of show. While watching this show, I felt apart the their world. I went on a journey with cast. Aside from all the wonder, this show proves that nostalgia does not mean reboot.

    The acting, the cinematography, the writing and pacing, the directing, and the killer music are all the key qualities of this short, sweet, amazingly produced love letter to the timeless sci-fi and mysteries of the 70's and 80's. Do yourself a favor, it's not a long show. Just bloody watch it.

    Best show ever. Everything about this show is amazing: the cast, the Duffer Brothers, the score, the story, the 80s nostalgia. It is fantastic; the kids were great, and the combination of mystery, horror, adventure, comedy, romance, and grief is perfect. I really enjoyed the show so much.

    Ambitious and excellent. And a great blast of nostalgia for anyone who grew up in the '80's. Completely binge-worthy; fingers-crossed for a sequel. Great casting, movie-caliber cinematography.

    One of the best tv shows I've seen. It really is "must see tv". The story is great, the acting is great, from both kids and adults and the series duration (8 episodes for Season 1) is just right.

    There’s a higher bar for original stories--even homages--to clear when it comes to incorporating the lessons Hollywood has learned recently about depicting female characters who are as layered as their male counterparts. For all its charms, Stranger Things doesn’t quite meet that standard.
