Jun 29, 2015You know, I really like Neil DeGrasse Tyson. It's really appealing when someone -- anyone -- LOVES what they do for a living and he seems to do so in spades! He also has an ability to explain things so that anyone can understand the concept. I'm definitely NOT a science person, but he manages to make even unadulterated science interesting to me. This show's a keeper NGC!

May 10, 2015I think it's a wonderful way to get "average" people to get interested in science. Most people will not tune in to a science based show as many consider it too boring. Tyson has a clever way of getting information to people without it seeming like a documentary. Well done.

Neil deGrasse Tyson’s new weekly late-night talk show plays like a Flintstones vitamin. He wraps the real message in the kind of sweet packaging that makes viewers hardly notice they’re getting something that’s good for them.
-
The show’s staging in the Hall of the Universe at New York’s American Museum of Natural History in front of an audience is a little low-concept, but the enthusiasm of Mr. Liu and Ms. Lord in Monday’s premiere keeps Star Talk from getting too dry.

On StarTalk, Tyson must interact with guests, and his instincts fail him. He’s impatient. He rambles. And he sands down the edges on every topic rather than raising his viewers up.
