Just as the first season do it have much awesome, unique and episodes full of action. The newcomer “Ronon Dex” is so cool and he really fits into the show. There’s a bunch on great episodes like "The Siege (Part 3)", "The Intruder", "Trinity", "The Hive”, "Inferno" and "Allies”. Even though that there are some fantastic action-packed episodes are there more less entertaining ones in this season than in the first. I’m talking about "Epiphany" and "Michael", they are both slow and suffers with lack of Stargate-magic. But none of them are boring, and I still love this second season. One aspect I have noticed with the actors is that Rachel Luttrell as Teyla Emmagan is terrible. She’s such a bad actor, especially when she’s under pressure. Another thing is that some of the conversations are focused on the audience. They explain things very well when there are complicated things, but after a while it just feels stupid because they have mentioned it so many times. We’re not stupid duh.

There are some downsides in this second season of Stargate Atlantis, but it’s still an epic sci-fi show.

The average score for each episode is: 7.99.
Stargate Atlantis: Season 2 gets an 8/10.

Season 2 improves the show a bit, has interesting stories and adds a lot of good characters to the mixture. Of cause there is Jason Moma as Ronon Dex who is an amazing addition to the team and Michael who I cant spoil which are my favorite additions. Then there are a lot of good episodes that use great ideas, have interesting set ups or outcomes. Of cause there is Jason Moma as Ronon Dex who is an amazing addition to the team and Michael who I cant spoil which are my favorite additions. Then there are a lot of good episodes that use great ideas, have interesting set ups or outcomes. I like Fords arc, Ronons character development, many moral dilemmas, Michael and the many good ideas. While I pick almost all episodes in the first half as my favorites I admit that the second half is weaker but not bad. I said a lot in my reviews that a strength of the Stargate show (and spin off) is the set up of characters and arcs. Many things will be build up and have impacts or developments in later seasons or were prepared in previous seasons to unfold. My favourite episodes are: “The Siege part 3” for the climax of the battle for Atlantis and set up for thinks to come. “The Intruder” for the mystery / riddle, menacing situation, story and solution. “Runner” for the introduction of Ronon Dex, idea of the runners and Ford. “Duet” for the hilariously funny situation, humour, McKay and Laura. “Instinct” but I think Ellia would work far better as permanent character / addition to the team. The story and continuation of this are really good. “The lost Boys” and the “The Hive” for the return of a character, ideas and climax. Sadly this characters story will be finished in a book not in the show (In the book Third Path?). I like “Epiphany” but in hindsight the interesting story and outcome is foreseeable. “Critical Mass” for the whodunnit (or is whoisit more correct?), the side story and reveal. “Michael” for the titular character, mystery, reveal and follow up. I don't like the season final “Allies” that much just for the record. Overall while I see this as improvement from season 1 the second half prevents a higher rating. Still it got me hooked and I watched all episodes of the show. Expand
