I wasn't a fan of M'Benga before this episode, but he really won my heart here, with a story that was as weird and fun as I expected it to be, but more moving than I could have predicted. Still, my biggest takeaways remain the actors playing against type, with Uhura, whose outfit was frankly doing a lot of work, Pike, for whom Mount nailed the split-second timing of every utterance and reaction, and most of all, La'an holy **** I hope we find out she has a twin Noonien-Singh so we can see more of this side of Chong going forward.… Expand
