May 15, 2023So much better than the awful season 2. Dines out heavily on nostalgia, but fun for all that.

May 7, 2023Bad acting. Horrible story. It's surprising to me how this gets funded. Who enjoies this? Old fans? I'm a fan, and can't enjoy it. The plot are childish. So stupid

May 5, 2023Good, a love letter to Next Generation.
It has some minor flaw, but it feel like a "real" star trek show now.
Spaceship, crew relationships, investigations, space combat, aliens, moral dilemma, loved actors...it has all..maybe is missing some exploration .
A very good job -

Apr 20, 2023It has some cringe moments and it is quite bad. By itself it would not deserve the 8/10 I gave it. But because the first two seasons were so horribly bad (0 Points each) and this is surprisingly and refreshingly ok, I had to give it some credit. They tried to fix what was wrong with the first two seasons and I give credit for that.

Apr 10, 2023What is usually a good A plot for most of the episode is ruined by interruptions to Raffy and a B plot that is very slow and poorly acted. Nice to see the original cast back and the show being full of mostly competent actors, but the poor casting for most new cast members still stands out.

Apr 7, 2023Somewhat disappointing this turned out to be a nostalgia-laden series that didn't resemble TNG much at all in tone or character. Looking for a series with more exploration, actual characters and is modern sci-fi? Check out Discovery or even Strange New Worlds instead.

Apr 6, 2023I didnt think it was possible for them to get Star Trek right but finally we have good Trek. Season 1 and 2 are terrible. Season 3 is more TNG than Picard. awesome acting, awesome story feels and looks like its set in the original series movie verse. I dont know why we just couldnt have had this from season 1 .. No need to watch season 1 or 2, just come straight into season three.

Mar 26, 2023Finally giving us what we have wanted for two decades. This is about as good as it could get.
-
Mar 14, 2023Interpersonal relationships between adults who are professional and behave as the characters we remember might behave. Well written adventure with believable stakes. This season is actual Star Trek. But someone turn up the lights on the bridge.

Mar 2, 2023One of the best tv shows this year. Great acting, outstanding production, top notch special effects. High level writing and good plot.

Feb 23, 2023After the mediocre first season and the dumpster fire that was season 2, I am hoping this season would be better, but after episode 2 I can tell you that it is mediocre so far. The plot and the acting is forced and over the top. I will update as the episodes are released.

Feb 20, 2023The best Star Trek since DS9. Season 3 has the spirit of old Star Trek. I hope they make another series in this time period of the 25th century.
-
Feb 18, 2023After E01S03... So, after two years of s**tting on ST, characters and fans they show us that almost good season of "ST: Picard" can be done? Which means they were destroying this IP on purpose! Too late, damage is done, I'm out...

Feb 17, 2023instead of a zero, ill give this a one. its still a dark nasty perverse kurtzman trek. dim lighting, dour, and opens with beverly crusher vaporizing people with a rifle. not very doctor crusher like. this is a slight improvement but has nothing to do with TNG. dont be fooled. doomcock is right, cullen and drinker give this way too much credit.

Feb 17, 2023A new beginning for the series in it's likely final season. I have only seen the first episode so far and it looks promising. There are some plot holes but somewhat smaller ones than the nonsense that made me stop watching ST Discovery. Too many plot serving coincidences but otherwise a very sold episode for my taste.

Feb 17, 2023Created by people who love Star Trek; acted by a bunch of people who love working together. This is the swansong that Starfleet’s greatest commanding officer and his crew truly deserves.
-
Feb 16, 2023I hoped for something good and got something a little better than good(so far)
for the first time in a long time I feel like startrek is back. Hope they keep it up

Jean-Luc is reunited with an old friend while searching for another in an exciting and fun – but maybe a little too callback-heavy – rethinking of the Star Trek: Picard format.
-
At no point does the final season feel like a show running on empty, as characters are grounded, situations grow organically, and antes are upped as momentum is maintained.

Come for the nostalgia, stay for the nerve-wracking suspense. ... Don't even think of missing this ride. [27 Feb - 12 Mar 2023, p.4]
