WillyM.Mar 8, 2006Ick. Made by people who wanted to ape Arrested Development but didn't have the talent. Just nasty and forced.

AlexRSep 6, 2006being different doesnt make it good. If you do not want to rely on good writers, at least do so in excellent improvisators and do something to set an environment where good improvs are gonna flow. This has nothing going on for it, except that it is different and it can thus attract all those that feel need to show the world how unique they are by praising whatever seems unique..

JiminyCrocketMar 8, 2006Appallingly unfunny. Apparently you need talent to pull off a show like The Office or Arrested D.

LizGMar 8, 2006Show sucked. Up against The Unit, doesn't have a prayer. Actually, pretty much has no prayer, regardless of what it's up against.

RHMar 9, 2006After reading an enthusiastic review from my favorite TV critic, my friend and I downloaded the pilot. We made it about seven minutes in before turning it off....... Honestly, take the improv of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the awkward pauses of The Office, the cinematography of Arrested Development. Mix them in a bowl. Now take out the humor. You have Sons and Daughters.

DaveBMar 21, 2006This show aimed squarely at 'Arrested Development' and missed by a mile. Not even worth the 22 minutes it took to watch a Tivo'd episode.

It's very well-acted and meanwhile, when it can stand it, kind of tender, although it's far more interested in "Curb"-like moments of uncomfortable confrontation.
-
The improvised dialogue is sometimes smart, but it often leads to scenes where the main characters repeat their intentions over and over again -- you know, like in a really bad improv class.

Definitely worth your time.
