How does this get low reviews from the critics? This just oozes coolness. I feel like riding around in GTA San Andreas listening to the oldies station. I'm not that deep into the story yet, but I'll definitely keep watching just for the atmosphere alone.

only see one ep and this show seems like a classic already. might even be better than power. love this show they gotta make a season 2. can't wait for the next season .

The show is stylish and already shows promise of some very interesting storylines. I love the fact that we are presented with three wildly different perspectives of the same issue (the burgeoning cocaine epidemic). This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think that snowfall is pretty good but it is very obvious where it draws its influences from. It sometimes feels like a **** 'the wire' with elements of many other crime shows such as 'Breaking Bad' etc.

In certain episodes events are straight up just left out and it relies on exposition to explain the scenario (the plane crash for example).

However, the finale kinda saves it as it very deftly and neatly ties together all of the characters and it has made me more excited to watch the next season than I initially was.… Expand

Snowfall is predictable and way too slow. The cast is solid. This music choices are pretty good as well, but that doesn't make up for the fact there is no reason to tune in next week.

What is with all these new shows making the same mistake. Too many storylines that I don't care about. Here you have (sorry don't know the names yet) , young african american male, CIA dude, Central American Contra guy, Mexicans, Israeli gang. Sigh... the only saving grace in this show is the lead actor, and even he tends to let overacting do the work for him... This show is about real life events, yet I can't help but get the feeling that I really couldn't give a crap about the fact that this stuff happened. It's not the MalcolmSigh... the only saving grace in this show is the lead actor, and even he tends to let overacting do the work for him... This show is about real life events, yet I can't help but get the feeling that I really couldn't give a crap about the fact that this stuff happened. It's not the Malcolm X movie, it's not Selma, and it sure isn't American Crime Story... it's Snowfall, and Snowfall sucks. The soundtrack itself is an indicator as to how generic and lazy the storytelling is. There's an amazing lack of focus, uneven characters and writing, the direction is essentially a lazy copy of the direction in Breaking Bad (another show that just so happens to be about cocaine), and I'm really upset over the fact that I wasted two hours (I watched three episodes) of my life trying to enjoy this piece of **** I'll be honest, this is a really generous rating, and it probably doesn't even deserve it. If you actually want to learn something important, watch a **** documentary, not this lame attempt to create 80's nostalgia. Final Score: 2/10… Expand
