Wow, just... Wow.... The show stared off well but it quickly gets worse with each passing episode.
Really, the problem isn't anything to do with sexism or misandry. It's a female orientated show, I'd expect that.

But is this what you guys want to see? A neurotic bumble fool? Both the same, in and out of She-Hulk form? The injustice this show deals out compared to the the source material is insulting to the actual, both physical and mentally strong version of the kick ass comic book counterpart.

As it stands, She-Hulk AAL doesn't work because it's set in the Movie-verse yet it's utterly slapstick and very childish. The execution is absolutely amateur hour. How can I explain this another way... Imagine Zack Snyder but the whole creative team is a bunch of female Zack Snyders and it's gone so far the other way, that it's now anti Snyder.... For every macho man Zack Snyder pumps out, the She-Hulk team will create weak goofy, neurotic females. If not then it's the stereo typical power tripping ones.

Seriously this offering is way more sexist towards women than if you got dude bro edgelords to run the show. She-Hulk AAL is nowhere near as empowered as the original comic book.… Expand

The protagonist is a really privileged woman, who has a great job and faces almost no real challenges throughout the series because she somehow can't have any flaws. Really? The thing is, this is THE ONE show that is SUPPOSED to be those things. The comic book is about a silly female lawyer with super strength. If you aren't a comic book nerd I don't get why people are watching these stupid Marvel movies in the first place. I just like them when they look and feel like the comic books I grew up with, and this accomplishes that for She Hulk as well as any Disney product could. She Hulk is supposed to say corny things to the camera and mock the Marvel Universe. She's supposed to tease the Hulk and not take him seriously. I am team Geeks and Gamers humbug on most of these modern cultural hot topics but why THIS is the show where mad fans take a stand bewilders me. I actually enjoy it enough to hope they get renewed, it might be the most accurate adaptation they've done yet and its an easy fun watch for me. Most of their other TV shows are way more garbage to me. Hawkeye was actually about a silly teen girl and was terrible, go hate on that one. That's not what a Hawkeye adaptation should be. The show does not have an excuse for being bad at this point. It has a great cast but a very poor scrip and a team of writers who are either winging it or are just lazy. Did they even read a single comic as a reference for their characters or just read the comicvine page for She Hulk? The plot is garbage and 7 episodes I still don't know what the F is going on. It was recently brought to my attention by a very good friend of mine that the show reviews were brutalizing it to an extremely high degree. I've seen the first 6 eps, and although it definitely has not been one of my faves, I had not drawn the same conclusion that some had come to and hated it because it had such a distasteful, all-men-are-scum vibe to it. Honestly, that never even entered my mind. My friend, who leans way more heavily into the DC realm when it comes to her superhero-flavored canon, was shocked that I had completely missed that aspect of the show. She got quite worked up over it, actually. She railed against the femdom aspect, somehow offended that none of the male characters seemed to have any redeeming qualities. I had just assumed that since she was an attorney, most of the men that she would come into contact with would not have the same moral compass as, say, your typical Avenger, and hadn't given it a second thought. I actually don't agree with that assessment, because Banner wasn't portrayed as a complete douchebag. The whole "Smart Hulk" thing is a serious departure from the traditional character, and he isn't nearly as sympathetic that way. But at least he's evolving (or DEvolving depending on your level of cynicism).

My problem with the show is that it just doesn't have that epic, story-telling quality that I've come to expect from the MCU. No intrinsically-evil supervillians bothered to show up. And the stories sadly reflected that. My overall rating? Prolly a 6. But definitely NOT a 1. Biatch, please!… Expand

7 episodes in and really it's disappointing. She Hulk is like that middle child, at first glance people don't like her and yet when she got the chance to be likable but she just do the opposite. Whoever thought of this show and how things were going to be done in it, wasn't really thinking of making something worthwhile watching. Instead it was aimed at a very specific audience. The wokes!

Because everything in the show is woke, from the dialogues to the scenes. And let's not even talk about the atrocious not so special effects. Tatiana Maslany, would've definitely not have been my choice for this role. And to see her character so easily lose control over the same anger she says she manages thousands of times better than men, already tells you what you're gonna get.
Mark Ruffalo is basically furniture at this point, and doesn't really serves to be Bruce Banner anymore. He's made a joke off in this show, mainly because he acts so contrary to what is Bruce Banner actual personality.
Even the way Jennifer Walters just judges other characters, thinking she could've done better would've some merit had she actually done anything in the movies. She's like that bar coach that thinks knows better than everyone else, and of course they gave her a lineup of actresses that mostly fallen off the map to tell her how good at everything she is, and how she's right about everything.
Watched as many episodes as possible before completely losing my patience with it. At no point does the show gets any better. It's a forest fire and it can only get worse. Save your time and patience, and choose something else to see. Because She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is itself a felony.… Expand

I had to come here to review this show. I was so excited and it's been so disappointing. Each episode is worse than the last. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Perhaps the most anticipated addition to Marvel tv-series... this comes off as less interesting and less accurate SVU: Law and Order.
Where the victim is the audience and most toxic personalities are all men.
Not to say that this can be improved, but the law bar of the show shows an even "lower-Bar" exam that other tv-shows.
Perhaps the writing of all court scenes should be done by a professional and not someone that looks to Tok Toc for inspiration.
Also, Bruce as the Hulk Seems to be a weakling that doesn't do anything right. Hence all women are right and all men are wrong, is a terrible way to write a show.
A good show would have competence from both men and women.
And this would be how Jen fits into the story. But all we get is toxic feminist and toxic males

They've been putting out so many movies and tv shows recently, that it's hard for me to keep up. She-Hulk isn't the final straw for me, but it's pretty close. I like Jennifer Walters as a character, but she feels better as a supporting character like Dr. Strange. The CGI isn't awful, but it could be so much better. The side characters feel pretty lifeless for the most part. I groaned when Bruce Banner said "bruh". Marvel tries so hard to use modern slang terminology, but almost always fails at it. For Wong, I can't say anything bad about him. He's Wong. Titania is another bland and boring MCU villain that Phase 4 is oh so proud of. As of this review, Matt Murdoch has yet to appear in She Hulk. But I don't think even HE can save this show! When it was revealed, I expected She Hulk to be a boring, lifeless show in Marvel's dull slate. Which it is.… Expand

They are tasteless and clearly bending behind this show's 'target' audience. As a guy, the first episode was enough to alienate me from the protagonist. The show has a clear baseline, 'women perfect' and 'men bad'. The show starts with neutering The Hulk. Jennifer Walters, the protagonist, spends the entire first episode belittling and speaking down to The Incredible Hulk. Since she is a 'woman', she is perfect, better, and clearly superior to Bruce Banner.
The character is as bland as it can be. The entire essence of her character is summarised within "woman" and "patriarchy". This story had no business taking a loved character and then attacking other loved characters which the MCU took a decade to build.
The 'story' if I can call it that, is poorly written. It has no business being a superhero story. This isn't about the hulk, it's written in poor taste and written for the target audience. It was pandering, condescending, and honestly made me not want to continue. Simply pushes an agenda on your face, in such a way that it's annoying. If you have a love for watching a story that is engaging and a character that is lovable, which you can get before and follow on their adventures, this is NOT it.
Marvel no longer knows how to write new characters without beating down older loved characters :)… Expand

Yes, there's feminist content, at the same time, they make fun of women too while featuring non-cringey men as well. After decades of TV misogynistic TV shows (the MCU definitely has had a few sexist tendencies) the world can tolerate one MCU property on the other side of the fence. It seems as though many men don't realize that this is intended to be a comedy, and sitcoms in general tend to go over the top with its characterizations of people's personalities; random side characters in the show are often one dimensional representations of a trope. HIMYM Barney was an over the top one dimensional male character for most of the series embodying the same characteristics as some of the men on She-Hulk; the only difference is he got laid with his antics. I guess a number of men get upset when fictional men don't get laid with crappy behavior. That said, this show seems to have many of the same ingredients for re-watchability as HIMYM (I've already gone back on episodes).

If I have one bit of feedback for my fellow men; sit back, laugh, and don't take this show so personally. It's not about you if you don't make it about you.

Overall it feels like a much better addition to Marvel than some other properties (I'm looking at you, Ant-Man and Black Widow).… Expand

Having seen the first few episode my initial hunch is that the show tries to display the human side of being a superhero, as well as trying to appeal to the female audience. The occasional feminist issue is dosed nicely too, contrary to shows that go so much overboard in a particular issue that they deviate from the original story line. I also really hope that they alternate more than repeating one guest as they have done with Wong so far.
The show appears to be using its entire first season to introduce characters and as a prequel for whatever direction it intends to take in the next season.
It has potential, but really needs to develop more in several aspects. Some of the court stuff ofc needs to be there, but really takes up too much time, but that would be solved if they at least made the episodes longer - content of 15-20 mins is simply not enough.
My rating reflects the potential I see in the series… Expand

On a completely unrelated note, I'm making a She-Hulk review! Oh how joyful!

Normally, I don't condone kicking someone who's already lying on the ground, but good golly, there's legit nothing of good quality here and it seems to be very adamant about not improving. So I don't really see the point in sugarcoating my observations.

The newest addition to Disneys varied collection of human-sized merchandising opportunities, also known as the MCU, is finding itself in a very special predicament right now: People who never knew about She-Hulk or never liked her in the first now don't have any reason to change that and actual fans of the character from the comics also don't have any reason to watch it, seeing how awful it portrays their hero. So this leaves us with a fundemental question: Who on earth is this actually for? Who is the target audience here?

And to answer that, we don't even have to leave the Marvel cosmos:

Do you want a show about a cool super-powered lawyer that has well-written courtroom room dramas and crazy good action scenes? Go watch Daredevil. It's really good and Charlie Cox deserves the world.

Do want a show about a badass female protagonist that deals with the psychological trauma of being abused against her will by a man? Go watch Jessica Jones. First season only though, the other two are not that good.

Or do you just want a fun show that isn't too deep and is only interested in making you laugh? Then go watch LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE. Seriously, I've been to funnier funerals. She-Hulk is advertised as a comedy lawyer show with a badass female protagonist and it hilariously fails at everything it aspires to be. There is nothing in here that isn't done significantly better elsewhere. And I mean, okay. The MCU is not supposed to be gods gift to cinema or TV or anything really, it is fun popcorn cinema with engaging characters, that's why fans love it and that's also why I love it. But lately, Disney+ is really hurting the overall quality of this franchise. As if it wasn't enough that we get a new MCU project every two weeks, the CGI and writing are in a constant downward spiral. The last MCU project I really liked without any major complaints was the last Spider-Man movie (I'm so excited to review that one) and maybe "Multiverse of Madness", but that one had the walking McGuffin without any kind of personality named America Chavez in it, soooo...

So we now have a "show" with incompetent writing, bad jokes and absolutely atrocious CGI, can this get any worse? Oh yes indeed, dear reader, it can! Because I have been stalling the whole time so I don't have to talk about the worst problems yet: the godawful main character and the shows insulting amount of men-hatred. Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk (played by Tatiana Maslani) is a completely unlikeable hero, let alone person. She's very rude, self-absorbed and dismissive of other peoples feelings and experiences. And to top it all off, she's just loves to objectify men, which happens to be the exact type of sh*t she hates when men do it to her. Great role model for young girls, not at all hypocritical!

And the men in this sh*tshow, oh lord help me. Almost every single one of 'em is either a desperate sex-obsessed creep or a sleazy suit who belittles all females around him. It's almost a miracle they didn't character assassinate Wong yet, but we still got five episodes to go, so give 'em time. And of course, the makers of the show don't see any problem with their blatant sexism and instead blame the angry male Twitter mob and review-bombing for the lousy feedback they're getting. Taking a few tweets from alt-right accounts and putting them together as montage to further antagonize a whole gender isn't clever writing, it is tone-deaf and doesn't acknowledge the actual problems with the show itself, but I guess that's one way to weasel out of criticism.

Was there anything else? Action is non-existent, soundtrack apparently exists, dialog is nextlevel cringe (if I have to hear another guy rating women in numbers, I will hurt myself), so yeah, I guess that's it. Oh wait, She-Hulk has a little twerking session with Megan Thee Stallion, whoever that is. I had to immediately cleanse my eyes from that, but the trauma is still there.

Please just don't ruin Daredevil, that's all I'm asking. And maybe hire better quality control, but after this year of mediocrity, I'm not holding my breath. As funny as it is to hate on this dumpster fire, I'm just glad when this is over and I can take a nice long break from the MCU.

(But I'll definitely finish that "No Way Home" review first, been dying to write about it.)… Expand

Shows no respect for the original characters, or knowledge of the source material of previous movies. The main character has an inflated ego. My life is harder than yours Bruce because I am a girl. You made the jury like you so we had to fire you. WTF that is her job! Christ, Bruce said the inhibitor was a prototype and only worked for him.
