I had to come here to review this show. I was so excited and it's been so disappointing. Each episode is worse than the last. Obviously the target of this show is pre-teen girls, which I guess is fine, but do they even read super-heroI had to come here to review this show. I was so excited and it's been so disappointing. It's not just the bad writing, but the actual content and intent that is off-putting. She is super powerful but would rather be a corporate lawyer so never actually uses her powers except when she's drunk and feeling dangerous? The show is more concerned with fashion and she-hulk looking good than actually using her powers for the good of humanity. Going to weddings, going on dates, suing over copyright; she-hulk is not an anti-hero, she is just a miserable narcissist who cares more about her clothes than her powers. bleh. hard to watch.… Expand

I tried giving this a chance but I had to give it up after a while. This wasn't made for superhero fans,more likely for Sex and the City fans but I don' think it will get them either because story,characetrs and performances are mediocre atI tried giving this a chance but I had to give it up after a while. Absolute trash of a TV show. All the jokes and dialogues are so painfully cringe-worthy that it's almost unbearable to finish the first ep. 7 episodes in and really it's disappointing. She Hulk is like that middle child, at first glance people don't like her and yet when she got the chance to be likable but she just do the opposite. This is disappointing. Initial trailers looked bad. The show wasn't as bad as those. But the whole feminist comedy and thrope of all men are bad, all women are perfect and are instantly that way due to their biology isn't a good lesson andThis is disappointing. They are tasteless and clearly bending behind this show's 'target' audience. As a guy, the first episode was enough to alienate me from the protagonist. The show has a clear baseline, 'women perfect' and 'men bad'. The show starts with neutering The Hulk. Jennifer Walters, the protagonist, spends the entire first episode belittling and speaking down to The Incredible Hulk. Since she is a 'woman', she is perfect, better, and clearly superior to Bruce Banner.
The character is as bland as it can be. The entire essence of her character is summarised within "woman" and "patriarchy". This story had no business taking a loved character and then attacking other loved characters which the MCU took a decade to build.
The 'story' if I can call it that, is poorly written. It has no business being a superhero story. This isn't about the hulk, it's written in poor taste and written for the target audience. It was pandering, condescending, and honestly made me not want to continue. Simply pushes an agenda on your face, in such a way that it's annoying. If you have a love for watching a story that is engaging and a character that is lovable, which you can get before and follow on their adventures, this is NOT it.
Marvel no longer knows how to write new characters without beating down older loved characters :)… Expand

The lead actress is very charming but there are way to may cameos.The only cameo the show did justice was the daredevil cameo which was the saving grace of the show. Started off good enough. Had the potential to bring a great series with some legal issues mixed with superhero life. By episode 5 it is failing miserably. Wow, just... Wow.... The show stared off well but it quickly gets worse with each passing episode.
Really, the problem isn't anything to do with sexism or misandry. It's a female orientated show, I'd expect that.

But is this what you guys want to see? A neurotic bumble fool? Both the same, in and out of She-Hulk form? The injustice this show deals out compared to the the source material is insulting to the actual, both physical and mentally strong version of the kick ass comic book counterpart.

As it stands, She-Hulk AAL doesn't work because it's set in the Movie-verse yet it's utterly slapstick and very childish. The execution is absolutely amateur hour. How can I explain this another way... Imagine Zack Snyder but the whole creative team is a bunch of female Zack Snyders and it's gone so far the other way, that it's now anti Snyder.... For every macho man Zack Snyder pumps out, the She-Hulk team will create weak goofy, neurotic females. If not then it's the stereo typical power tripping ones.

Seriously this offering is way more sexist towards women than if you got dude bro edgelords to run the show. She-Hulk AAL is nowhere near as empowered as the original comic book.… Expand

People watch superhero shows for escapism, for action, and for immersion. The final episode takes all of that and throws it in the trash. It leaves viewers feeling deflated and as if their investment into the show was a total joke. Breaking the fourth wall is like a fun little nod to the audience, but this was basically a slap in the face. It's like GOT the final season, doing something unexpected and betraying the whole build-up of the previous episodes. What a terrible waste of money and time. Finally, the disparity between critics' and viewers' ratings shows the clear favoritism the media has for this type of show. Unfortunately, I doubt this positivity translates to viewership and profit.… Expand

Oh boy. I'm not gonna rant on here as I really can't be bothered to anymore when it comes to comicbook movies/shows. But essentially we are now most definitely in the cooling down period as this genre falls off a cliff into completeOh boy. I'm not gonna rant on here as I really can't be bothered to anymore when it comes to comicbook movies/shows. But essentially we are now most definitely in the cooling down period as this genre falls off a cliff into complete unrepentant repetitiveness. There is nothing original or fun here, it's just the same old CGI nonsense with the unwanted added bonus of left-leaning politics tossed in because they can't help themselves.

Frankly, I had a feeling that after the initial 'Endgame' saga ended, going forward things might start to get a bit thin on the ground, a bit desperate, as they try to repeat the same success. So far it simply has not happened as everything has either been mediocre or outright failed. The added political narratives that have been so obviously crowbarred into the mix simply don't help matters either.

But yes, this is essentially an agenda-driven show with a (bad) superhero wrapping. The ONLY reason it's managed to survive is because of the MCU tag and media critics (along with MCU/woke fanboys) shilling to keep the narrative/agenda chugging along.

You could quite easily make something fun here, but they decided not to...for whatever reasons. Apparently Twitter still controls the universe like some malevolent entity trying to prove/force a point and woe betide anyone who doesn't agree.

So, hopefully the superhero genre is slowly dying away. Thank God is all I can say. Totally sick of it. I've never experienced such an onslaught in my entire life of movie watching (and I'm currently 44). The last such onslaught was probably the western genre before my time and to a degree the dystopian sci-fi genre during the late 80's to early 90's, but that wasn't all mainstream.

Never mind eh, worse things happen at sea, you could get catcalled for instance.… Expand

Fairly boring, its quite clear that the writer of the episode had never read any of the source comics. As a comedy, i don't like it, not at all, i don't recall a single joke that i thought was funny, as a Marvel series, it's pretty damm terrible, but the main reason why i'm writting this review it's because i was looking forward to a decentAs a comedy, i don't like it, not at all, i don't recall a single joke that i thought was funny, as a Marvel series, it's pretty damm terrible, but the main reason why i'm writting this review it's because i was looking forward to a decent legal series, i wasn't expecting a great one, of course not, but just a DECENT one, instead what we got was one of the worst legal series i have ever seen, it's downright HORRIBLE, and the worst it's that a world such as marvel had so much potential to tell interesting stories in the courtroom, but they wasted all of it. And the icing on the cake it's that they even had the nerve to casually admit it: “none of us are that adept at writing, you know, rousing trial scenes”
This is basically an insult, an insult to the audience and to the source material, do they remember that the protagonist IS A LAWYER?, this is so stupid for so many reasons, disney should have the minimum respect for the audience and hire some decent writters, they're not some small company, IT'S DISNEY that should be the bare minimum.… Expand

You took one of the best characters from the comics who has been adapted amazingly well to tv via the cartoons, and this is what you do with her?
Have her get into romances that go nowhere except set her up for a semi-finale villian reveal of it being their version of the site that can't be named on Metacritic / Youtubers that not only makes no sense since
A. The site that can't be named on Metacritic isn't known for hacking into award ceremonies nor are fans criticizing a show, most likely they would send someone like damage control (in this universe) claiming there's a problem and cause chaos that way if you really want to go there. Which is still build on broken glass to begin with
and
B. its is stuff everyone should know considering episode 5 had her bring the men from the previous episode and basically exposed the same thing. Yet somehow this plan works? Are these writers bad at continuity.
Meanwhile, they make other characters look stupid or something they just aren't. Everyone acts like an idiot other than Daredevil, and even he is wasted on this script. The finale was what happens if someone watched Doug Walkers "To Boldly Flee" and thought they could do it way better and on a higher scale. It's stupid, unfunny, and a complete waste of time.
The comedy is also abysmal and I rarely got a single laugh due to poor comedic timing or poor jokes.
The CGI also got a complete downgrade, even the hulk looks iffy here because they clearly either didn't have time or care enough to make it great. I mean, considering the finale, I wouldn't be shocked if it's the later. The FX team jokes were extremely tonedeaf.
This is the worst of Marvel's TV shows being a massive disappointment and a huge waste of time for everyone involved.
Don't watch this, it's a completely waste.… Expand

It was boring, she-hulk is not a likable character. Not for everyone, some people might like it. That being said I am not a fan of hulk either, love Mark Ruffalo, but don't like hulk. Do you remember that one episode of "American Dad" where Roger the Alien is playing a bad guy who floods Hollywood with cheap-made soulless garbage movies so that audiences cry themselves to death when they see an actual good movie? On a completely unrelated note, I'm making a She-Hulk review! Oh how joyful!

Normally, I don't condone kicking someone who's already lying on the ground, but good golly, there's legit nothing of good quality here and it seems to be very adamant about not improving. So I don't really see the point in sugarcoating my observations.

The newest addition to Disneys varied collection of human-sized merchandising opportunities, also known as the MCU, is finding itself in a very special predicament right now: People who never knew about She-Hulk or never liked her in the first now don't have any reason to change that and actual fans of the character from the comics also don't have any reason to watch it, seeing how awful it portrays their hero. So this leaves us with a fundemental question: Who on earth is this actually for? Who is the target audience here?

And to answer that, we don't even have to leave the Marvel cosmos:

Do you want a show about a cool super-powered lawyer that has well-written courtroom room dramas and crazy good action scenes? Go watch Daredevil. It's really good and Charlie Cox deserves the world.

Do want a show about a badass female protagonist that deals with the psychological trauma of being abused against her will by a man? Go watch Jessica Jones. First season only though, the other two are not that good.

Or do you just want a fun show that isn't too deep and is only interested in making you laugh? Then go watch LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE. Seriously, I've been to funnier funerals. She-Hulk is advertised as a comedy lawyer show with a badass female protagonist and it hilariously fails at everything it aspires to be. There is nothing in here that isn't done significantly better elsewhere. And I mean, okay. The MCU is not supposed to be gods gift to cinema or TV or anything really, it is fun popcorn cinema with engaging characters, that's why fans love it and that's also why I love it. But lately, Disney+ is really hurting the overall quality of this franchise. As if it wasn't enough that we get a new MCU project every two weeks, the CGI and writing are in a constant downward spiral. The last MCU project I really liked without any major complaints was the last Spider-Man movie (I'm so excited to review that one) and maybe "Multiverse of Madness", but that one had the walking McGuffin without any kind of personality named America Chavez in it, soooo...

So we now have a "show" with incompetent writing, bad jokes and absolutely atrocious CGI, can this get any worse? Oh yes indeed, dear reader, it can! Because I have been stalling the whole time so I don't have to talk about the worst problems yet: the godawful main character and the shows insulting amount of men-hatred. Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk (played by Tatiana Maslani) is a completely unlikeable hero, let alone person. She's very rude, self-absorbed and dismissive of other peoples feelings and experiences. And to top it all off, she's just loves to objectify men, which happens to be the exact type of sh*t she hates when men do it to her. Great role model for young girls, not at all hypocritical!

And the men in this sh*tshow, oh lord help me. Almost every single one of 'em is either a desperate sex-obsessed creep or a sleazy suit who belittles all females around him. It's almost a miracle they didn't character assassinate Wong yet, but we still got five episodes to go, so give 'em time. And of course, the makers of the show don't see any problem with their blatant sexism and instead blame the angry male Twitter mob and review-bombing for the lousy feedback they're getting. Taking a few tweets from alt-right accounts and putting them together as montage to further antagonize a whole gender isn't clever writing, it is tone-deaf and doesn't acknowledge the actual problems with the show itself, but I guess that's one way to weasel out of criticism.

Was there anything else? Action is non-existent, soundtrack apparently exists, dialog is nextlevel cringe (if I have to hear another guy rating women in numbers, I will hurt myself), so yeah, I guess that's it. Oh wait, She-Hulk has a little twerking session with Megan Thee Stallion, whoever that is. I had to immediately cleanse my eyes from that, but the trauma is still there.

Please just don't ruin Daredevil, that's all I'm asking. And maybe hire better quality control, but after this year of mediocrity, I'm not holding my breath. As funny as it is to hate on this dumpster fire, I'm just glad when this is over and I can take a nice long break from the MCU.

(But I'll definitely finish that "No Way Home" review first, been dying to write about it.)… Expand

I’m now coming to the conclusion of how wrong it was of me to cave into this awful current landscape. The first time writing the review, I toned down my opinions for the same reasons. To put it simply She-Hulk is not a good show. The actress of She-Hulk desperately tries to save the show. You can really see Tatiana Maslany does everything in her power to try to salvage the garbage script and plot. If she wasn’t the actress playing She-Hulk, I doubt I would have been able to make it through all 9 episodes. If you were to make a cringe compilation of She-Hulk, you would simply be re-uploading the entire show. The main villains of the show is the critical viewer… yep. Disney (a multi billion dollar corporation) got so offended by the fans being disappointed by the MCU’s recent phase 4 output that they decided to label them as misogynist “man babies.” Firstly, I would like to say how absurdly embarrassing it is that a company decided to make fun of it’s core audience complains whilst completing ignoring there requests. In addition, how completely childish the storyline is! Also, how completely false their accusation is - it’s not just straight white men who dislike modern marvel, it’s EVERYONE! The current most popular opinion of the MCU is that it fell off! The problem is not female superheroes. The problem is Marvel’s (recent) female characters! Remember when Marvel used to make good female characters like; Gamora, Nebula, and Hela? What’s changed! Why can’t Marvel make actually interesting female characters anymore? She-Hulk had great potential to make an amazing superhero-lawyer show, but instead they decided to make this absolute garbage. In the final episode (spoilers) they have a fourth wall break where She-Hulk goes to Marvel HQ (whatever, I have no hope left for the show’s redemption). She-Hulk meets with the robot Kevin and starts talking about how garbage the current finale was! They knew what they were making was bad! And they still did it! They then have a meta “joke” about how the camera has to move because it’s too expensive to have Jen transform back into her human form. Great timing Marvel Disney! You’ve recently had reports of overworking and underpaying the VFX artists! They then skip the finale (whatever) and cut to a family eating scene (a scene I actually enjoyed). Bruce Hulk then comes in and introduces his son - surprise! Hopefully, they will actually do something interesting with his son. CW’s arrowverse was leagues better! Now that marvel has the multiverse, I really wish I could travel to the multiverse where She-Hulk was a good show! Better yet, the multiverse where Disney doesn’t keep milking this old cow for the sake of money over art! Current MCU has me feeling real depressed, after Thor: Love and Thunder I gave up hope. Now I’m wondering for the superhero genre has a whole. A part of me wishes it would just die out. A genre I used to be obsessed with - I find myself disappointed in.… Expand

Even the openly racist and sexist writer/producer would be tolerable if the jokes weren’t just whiney sexist monologues, the action was worse than Bollywood fight scenes, and the creativity is nonexistent.

Shows no respect for the original characters, or knowledge of the source material of previous movies. The main character has an inflated ego. My life is harder than yours Bruce because I am a girl. You made the jury like you so we had to fire you. WTF that is her job! Christ, Bruce said the inhibitor was a prototype and only worked for him. Because everything in the show is woke, from the dialogues to the scenes. And let's not even talk about the atrocious not so special effects. Tatiana Maslany, would've definitely not have been my choice for this role. And to see her character so easily lose control over the same anger she says she manages thousands of times better than men, already tells you what you're gonna get.
Mark Ruffalo is basically furniture at this point, and doesn't really serves to be Bruce Banner anymore. He's made a joke off in this show, mainly because he acts so contrary to what is Bruce Banner actual personality.
Even the way Jennifer Walters just judges other characters, thinking she could've done better would've some merit had she actually done anything in the movies. She's like that bar coach that thinks knows better than everyone else, and of course they gave her a lineup of actresses that mostly fallen off the map to tell her how good at everything she is, and how she's right about everything.
Watched as many episodes as possible before completely losing my patience with it. At no point does the show gets any better. It's a forest fire and it can only get worse. Save your time and patience, and choose something else to see. Because She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is itself a felony.… Expand

Where the victim is the audience and most toxic personalities are all men.
Not to say that this can be improved, but the law bar of the show shows an even "lower-Bar" exam that other tv-shows.
Perhaps the writing of all court scenes should be done by a professional and not someone that looks to Tok Toc for inspiration.
Also, Bruce as the Hulk Seems to be a weakling that doesn't do anything right. Hence all women are right and all men are wrong, is a terrible way to write a show.
A good show would have competence from both men and women.
And this would be how Jen fits into the story. But all we get is toxic feminist and toxic males

Where you watching the show thinking none of these stories in the episodes interconnected in a coherent way? That was on purpose to make a Meta joke about how bad the writing is in other marvel shows and movies. Were you thinking side and guest characters have been dumbed down? That was on purpose!

This was a constant theme through out the season. Bad writing that was called out seconds after it happened. If you are smart enough to know what people complain about why not fix it? Give it some real stakes takes us through someones personal story.

The character of Jennifer/She-hulk does not go through any growth or face any challenges that aren't immediately solved in her favor. So the show is mostly about her not getting her way initially, complaining and finally doing the bare minimum to get it fixed.

The show bashes other movies and TV shows but has a Life line to other more interesting characters. Like she couldn't carry the weight of her own show. Which they call out but they keep on doing and complaining about it.

This is the first time that in the MCU that I have thought about how a character is detrimental not to her self but to others around her from a Meta way. DareDevil's code of ethics and rules put him at odds with his faith and friends and that makes a good show. Jen's bad guy is the writers. Remember they purposely made Wong, abomination, Titania and Bruce dumb so they could have a conflict. What does she want? To be a successful female Lawyer. What's stopping her? Bad writing. I hope they rework her in a way that she is not toxic to others character, but until that happens pls keep her away from the MCU. Hope Deadpool gives her a master class on the how to break the 4th wall.… Expand

I watched She Hulk week after week in the hope that the weekly cliffhanger would finally make something exciting happen.
Unfortunately far from it.
In each episode it got worse and worse. It's an absolute mystery to me how you can screw up a story with so much potential.
Not enough with She Hulk herself being her own caricature and neither doing a feminist service nor telling a comprehensible story, no, practically every character in this universe of shame is ripped apart, eaten, digested and... well, let's call it disposed of by the creators.
What they did to Abomination defies description.
DareDevil has become a total schmuck.
Virtually all the men in this series are complete idiots. However... so are the women.
Even if you look at the story detached from M-She-U, the story is complete **** because apparently no one bothered to call a lawyer in advance and ask him to act as a legal expert.
In fact everything, really absolutely everything in this series is intellectual dregs and really not worth the time to write about.
Why I'm doing this is because I need to get it off my chest. Because this trash is so disgusting and disgusting that it cauterizes your eyes while watching it.
And as if all this were not enough, this attack on mental health is also actually misogynistic.
So you really have to get that right first.

She Hulk Attorney at Bore had me turn it off after a certain scene towards the end. It actually managed to offend me with it's hatred towards men. So much potential to come out with this mess. Its not about being woke or anything!
