    I watched the entire season today. It's so good. One of the smartest shows on TV.

    Very disppointing third season. All the side characters have become cartoonish caricatures. Writing and plot are incoherent and far-fetched with Episode 06 as ludicrous, lazy and inane as anything on TV. The producers clearly have no idea what to do with a show that is completely different from that brilliant first season. Gone is the subtle psychological character study...

    I don't agree with the reviews that say this show changed after season 1. It was a dark comedy from the start and a lot of the less favorable reviews just don't seem to like the genre. The comedy is definitely still there same as ever in season 3.

    as a dark comedy this is terrific. One of the best I've seen. Incredibly well written and funny and very well acted.

    Still a clever show, but there were some scenes which started to show signs it is danger of becoming a caricature of itself.

    The new batch of episodes stumbles in places but there’s too much to like in terms of performance, sharp dialogue, and unpredictable plotting to dismiss it entirely. While it may have been stronger when it was more intimate, the writing really carries the season through any minor missteps, along with a refreshing willingness to present its characters in an unflattering light.

    We are not meant, I don’t think, to love or hate the characters, to identify with them or completely reject them. What we can do is enjoy watching as they veritably crackle with kinetic energy. The series remains at its best when it approaches its players’ individualized tics and gestures from a slight remove—its gaze amused, sometimes even a little sympathetic, but, in the end, thoroughly unsentimental.

    Search Party is both over-the-top and fantastically understated. It simmers with the high drama set in motion by its first season finale, but is set in an airless world that has no space for moral reckoning.
