Jan 25, 2016Excellent series. The bad reviewers probably hate Curb your Enthusiam, Seinfield, Arrrested Development, or any other show that require intelligence to understand.

Mar 7, 2015Thoroughly enjoyed this new comedy the players are well-suited very unique concept. The story line and characters portrayed lends itself to many comedic situations. Putting Christopher Mash as mayor was ingenious! Best of luck on future seasons.

Apr 10, 2015LOVE this show and cannot understand why some people are saying it is not funny??? This show has brilliant humor and an amazing cast. A second season is a MUST!

Mar 24, 2015With all the crap going on in the world these days it's refreshing to delve into the show Schitt's Creek for some unique humour with a cast that works and fits so well together to make such a great show. I am hooked and hope it last for many seasons to come.

Apr 9, 2015First rate show. Writers, cast, story all very well done/played. CBC has come thru here. I hope it is renewed for many years. Best comedy since 2&1/2 Men!

Mar 27, 2015One of the best comedy series I've seen in some time. Great cast. Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy are fantastic! If you loved the movie Best in Show, you'll love this.

Oct 12, 2017As the series progresses, it becomes ever more humorous, but also much deeper. Characters have become far more fleshed out and real. relationships that have developed have surprising depth, most recently, David's with Patrick. Actually quite sweet. A very pleasant product from the Levys, with great acting and pacing.

Jan 15, 2018I ADORE this show. It's sweet, funny and real with rounded characters. And delicious quirky and funny. Love it! So does the hubby. Can't wait for the next series.

Jan 22, 2019This is a great show. There are times when Catherine O'Hara's acting is so transcendent that I am in awe. Not an overstatement. The parents are such pros. The kids are funny. The writing is really smart. For those who don't get subtle or indirect or abstract humor they may miss the joke, but for those who like a creative show with no hit you over the head jokes or pratfalls it will make you laugh.

Oct 27, 2018Episodes are hit and miss - some are fantastic and hilarious while others are really boring. It's fun to binge though, and the show doesn't take itself too seriously.
Also, I think Daniel Levy is rather good in it. -

Jan 14, 2019Literally created an account just so I could leave this review. I am a few episodes in to season 3 after watching a few episodes after work whenever I can over the past couple of weeks. One my favourite shows I think I have ever watched, I love every character, I love the humour, literally ever gesture and facial expression is amazing. GENIUS!!!!

Feb 20, 2015Fantastic show. One of the best programs on TV right now. Perhaps are more dry humor than some would like, but for those that like dry humor, brilliant acting, great dialogues and rich character relations - this is a show for you. Brilliant.

Feb 16, 2015This show is absolutely terrible. While the acting is decent, the characters are ALL annoying and very uninteresting. Very little of the show is actually funny and I found it painful to watch.

Jun 8, 2015The premise for the show has a bit of promise, but it is let down by below average writing and emotionless acting
The only shining light is Emily Hampshire who at least appears to have a heart and soul and a healthy sense of irony and sarcasm.
The show doesn't really need to have a euphemistic title. The real S**t word applies. -
Feb 3, 2018I really enjoyed this show for the first three seasons. Very different and funny. I was really looking forward to Season 4. However, I just finished watching the first two episodes of Season 4 and am very disappointed. I will try watching it again when episode 3 arrives, but if it continues like this, I will no longer be watching.

Aug 18, 2021This first season is predictable and awkward. It seems like a slower version of Arrested Development with a third of the jokes. I hope this show gets better from here because it has potential.
-
Apr 10, 2019Great start to the show! The characters are clearly entitled, rude and selfish but over-time they develop. Give the first season a sincere shot, because each season gets better and better.

Feb 11, 2019This show is totally overrated. I don't understand why people think it's funny or entertaining. I much preferred Arrested Development so much more. They took the whole theme of Arrested Development too!
-
Jun 3, 2021It has a fun plot, but terrible acting and the characters seems cold. Never felt I got to know any of them.

Daniel Levy has a confident comedic voice and a knack for biting dialogue, which can only mature along with the series, especially as we get to know the town and the character more. There is room for improvement--luckily, there will be a second season to work on that.
-
Around the fourth or fifth episode of Schitt’s Creek, the family’s behavior starts to become a smidge less predictable: David decides to sell his pricey wardrobe; Alexis finds herself attracted to a bearded environmentalist; Johnny and Moira display genuine affection for each other. These moments signal the small-town comedy just might have room to grow.
-
It's very funny, beautifully played, sometimes touching and, though its premise is familiar--rich family loses money--quite its own animal.
