I absolutely love this show. It's pretty rediculous and somewhat absurdist so it definitely isn't something I'd recommend to everyone... but it really manages to take the zombie comedy genre and make something new from it. The acting and writing is all so over the top but somehow it works perfectly. I will say that I think season 2 was an edge better than season 3, but I am already 100%I absolutely love this show. I hate zombie shows.

This show is fantastic and defies the zombie show stereotype. Acting and writing are superb and is laugh-out-loud funny. The show's take on relationships is insightful. Olyphant is handsome and wry. Barrymore, is...Barrymore. Always very good since E.T. (I'm not a huge Barrymore fan, just saying that she's a great actress and I call it like it is). Love the cast

Love the cast playing the kids especially Eric's character. He's like a young Jason Bateman. I had to look him up just to make sure he was not indeed Bateman's son. But he has his same look, style, and comedic acting chops. As a female nerd myself, I can really identify with his character. Mr. Ball Legs is super creepy (eep - the eyes).

I'm home sick so I already binge watched season 3 and since I'm home sick for a few days, decided to re-watch season 1 and 2 because ...there is nothing better to do. And this show is extremely entertaining.

Thanks for another great season. Bring on season 4. Please, no one get caught up in any scandals so that we can have the same cast.

    Where's Rick? Bring him back.

The third season of the comedy about a family where the mother (played by Drew Barrymore) becomes a zombie is once again unique and hilarious.

Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant have excellent chemistry. Olyphant is the VIP constantly hiding his anxiety behind a thin veil of positiveness. Kudos should also be given to Liv Hewson as their daughter and Skyler Gisondo as her nerdy friend.

Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant have excellent chemistry. Olyphant is the VIP constantly hiding his anxiety behind a thin veil of positiveness. Kudos should also be given to Liv Hewson as their daughter and Skyler Gisondo as her nerdy friend. Gisondo really ups his nervous game and is pretty funny as he is constantly and weakly dealing with hiding things. The plot involving these two mostly doesn't involve zombies, but they managed to make it just as fun. ER's Goran Visjnic appears as this season's antagonist. He along with his two henchmen (played by Dominic Burgess and Stephen Full) are pretty good additions.

If you saw last season's finale, then you'd expect to see a lot more of Natalie Morale's policewoman Anne Garcia. Unfortunately, Morales got the lead in the show Abby's and was only available to appear in a hand full of episodes and is unsatisfying written out. In fact, Morales is one of three actors this season who had to leave the show, but she's the one whose absence is felt the most. (Not that I begrudge Morales for getting the gig. She's a good actress, but she has the worse luck. It seems that every time she's the main cast member of a show it gets cancelled. From what I've seen of Abby's, I'm afraid it won't last long either. But I'm getting off topic.)

As much fun as I had, I'd say I liked the first two seasons slightly better. The plot can be a little too busy at points. Still, that's just a nitpick.

Overall this show remains really entertaining. It can get pretty violent, so I can't recommend this to you if that's not your thing.

Sad to hear this series isn't being renewed. I guess you could consider season 3 an adequate ending but still... This season did lose some of it's freshness but it was still funny and entertaining.

Santa Clarita Diet remains a gorgeously flavourful one. Fill up.

It’s the perfect balance of heart and humor, with some actual bleeding human hearts on display for good measure, Santa Clarita Diet remains the benchmark of comedy horror on TV right now.

Combined with reliably sharp writing and the actors’ comedic timing, it all makes for an immensely watchable show, even in its third season.
