The critics are out to lunch on this one! I've seen comments like "I'm married and I can relate". I'm not even married and I find this show hilarious. Patrick Warburton and David Spade are funny as Really can't believe they this show got cancelled.

As much as I try, I just cannot find this show funny. It's a sitcom? I get the sit. But where's the com? The characters are generally annoying and there's no one in the show that brings me back to watch it.

Definitely don't agree with the critics on this one. The show is funny and entertaining. I don't know what they based their criticism on, but it's definitely not as bad as they say! Check the show out and give it a chance. If you don't like David Spade however then don't bother, he is a main character and ya either love him or hate him

Overall this is a good show. Jeff Bingham/Patrick Warburton is the best. As a married man, I can relate to the humor. I enjoyed it more when it first came out but I still watch every week and I'm glad it is still on the air.

David Spade and the rest of the cast have absolutely no comedic talent at all. And boy does it show in this cliche, superficial, artificial, piece of .... one of the worst shows on television.

Thank goodness for Metacritic, I love this show, patrick warburton, david spade are hilarious, the critics don't like it because it is not a politically correct sitcom, the males are like grown college men, Spade routinely uses women for nothing more that sex, there is no central character that is gay, many of the jokes are smack downs, insults about girly men, women, etc. I LOVE IT!Thank goodness for Metacritic, I love this show, patrick warburton, david spade are hilarious, the critics don't like it because it is not a politically correct sitcom, the males are like grown college men, Spade routinely uses women for nothing more that sex, there is no central character that is gay, many of the jokes are smack downs, insults about girly men, women, etc. I LOVE IT! Obviously the fans have it right, I hope this show rockets up the charts in its 5th season because my old favorite "Two and a half men" stinks without crazy Charlie Sheen, Ashton Kutcher is a wuss! I love the show even as moved to Thursday night. My only rub is DAvid Spade's character. He has the mentality of a 8-year old. He treats his "firends" accordningly. Who writes for him?

I know I am crazy but the critics are supposed to be sane and intelligent. I am not seeing either here. Rules of Engagement is laugh-out-loud hilarious and VERY inspired. CBS has got a FANTASTIC line-up on Monday nights and should keep it that way. Most of us have enough drama and stress in our lives and cherish the chance to laugh. I don't understand why critics hate this show. My second favorite show on TV (second to the office of course). This is the only show on TV that actually makes me laugh out loud.

This is pretty lousy. I viewed a couple of episodes from season 1 and am surprised it is being renewed for a third season. This isn't funny; Patrick Warburton is the only silver lining on this show. Bianca Kajlich is pretty. Megan Pryce, with her experience from Grounded, would be more than a factor in this show but she just plays Jeff's wife. Too formulaic and dull for me.

I love this show. I laugh non-stop while it's on. I am having a hard time believing the critics' review. Are they nuts or are they just jaded? It's a great show!

My husband and I love this show. I love the dynamic of their being two couples and then David Spade all on his own trying to live the life of a single nasty single guy. I love Patrick Warburton as a married man and his wit just amazes me. Oh hell, I love all of the characters and the way that they play off of each other. This show was excellent! I can NOT believe it was canceled on the basis of critics ratings. With every thing that is going on now in this country, we all need a good laugh. What is the per-capita ratio of critics to the rest of us?

I agree with Christine A. The guys in the show are funny, but the female characters are poorly developed. It could be so much more, but it surely is funnier than any of the other lame new shows out there.

so glad it was cancelled , either put Price and her cleavage back in the programs for adolescent boys like grounded for life, or tell her she should get busy and be a stay at home mom instead of boring us.

Here's the problem: Although some very funny scenes with the guys on the show, the writers seem to have forgotten to write personalities for the female characters. Basically it is a show about three guys, one married, one engaged and one single and oh yeah, there are two chicks in some of the scenes. The series quickly begins to resemble one of those fake sitcoms you’d see in a snide movie that likes to take easy potshots at low culture.

The story lines are every bit as insufferable as the punch lines.

Rules would be more engaging if it weren't so familiar, but there is at least one consistently hilarious performance: Patrick Warburton.
