Every episode is filled with a new and worse part to the story line. Clearly the creators should have stopped at season one as they are not creative enough to go past that without "diarrheaing" out inane storylines. The only reason it deserves a two is because the cinematography doesn't make me want to violently pull out my hair.… Expand

The first season was good but quickly went downhill from there. It is clear the cast no longer wants to be a part of the show. Good premise but poor execution.

The first season was amazing, the second season was good, the third season was meh but you can watch it without problems, but the four season is HORRIBLE! What happened to this series? Riverdale is a show that manages to pique your interest occasionally and provide some moments of entertainment. However, these fleeting aspects are overshadowed by an overall awful experience. However, these fleeting aspects are overshadowed by an overall awful experience. The characters and storylines are utterly unbelievable, making it difficult to suspend disbelief even for a moment. What's even more frustrating is that the show takes itself so seriously, as if it genuinely believes in the far-fetched narratives it presents.

The characters in Riverdale are poorly developed, lacking depth and authenticity. They seem more like caricatures than real individuals, and their actions often defy logic or common sense. It becomes challenging to invest in their journeys or feel any emotional connection.

Furthermore, the storylines are convoluted and nonsensical. It feels as though the writers are pulling ideas out of thin air without any coherent plan. One moment, the show is about high school drama, and the next, it delves into supernatural elements or bizarre crime mysteries.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me start this by saying that I loved seasons 1-6 of this show. I loved the New Riverdale comics, especially Waid's Archie and Zdarsky/North's Jughead. I am a Riverdale fan. That being said, the final season shot itself in the foot. I'm tired of all this alternate timeline many-worlds interpretation bullcrap infiltrating every form of popular science fiction. The final episode is a slap in the face to anyone who followed the show. Why on earth they did not return to the original timeline I cannot say but the fact that this whole epilogue focused on the conclusion of the 1957 timeline just felt entirely inconsequential as far as the rest of the series was concerned. I was really hoping the '57 timeline and the whole ripped from the headlines lark would be a short sequence in the series ala Rivervale, but the fact that it took up the entire final season including the finale is a real misstep and soured my opinion of the series as a whole. A trash fire in terms of storytelling, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa should be thrown in jail and they should throw away the key. Dude hasn't done anything worthwhile since Marvel Knights Fantastic Four (and even that is ass). This show is dumb as hell.… Expand
