    typical netflix, shove a bunch of teens into it, add drama, zombies and some bad jokes, rate it R and it'll still be bad, I feel bad for the actors

    I just don't understand it. Why even use pay to use the "Resident Evil" name and then not make a RE show? You alienate and piss off the RE fans, non-fans will pass, and then you have no one caring. Its a terrible RE show and a subpar meh Zombie show. Everyone loses, no one cares. You shouldn't either.

    Dazu muss es natürlich LGBTQ gerecht sein und politisch korrekt. Ich finde es nur noch zum kotzen .

    In fact, to write a Netflix series you need people who have never read, played or seen the basic work. You impose a thick political agenda on them, and you flush the toilet: Here you have your Netflix adaptation !

    This isn't Resident Evil. This is a teen drama with sprinkled zombies to move the drama forward. The writing is quite simply the worst I've seen in any type of format, movie, game or series. The characters are downright unlikable, and I couldn't care less about a forced drama of two obnoxious teens. This was supposed to be Resident Evil, not the OC.

    I realy dont understand why they give lore rich franchises to peoples who do not have slightest idea about them,this is not Resident Evil,not at all,like they destroyed Cowboy bepop,The witcher seasson 2,Halo..etc writers are trashing these beloved franchises,bad reviews are justified,do not watch this

    Yep...would definitely go with the user score on this one. The actors have been robbed by really poor everything else bar a few nice creature effects. And btw, I know we're suspending a good deal of disbelief here anyway, but bullets do not just bounce off vehicles - this isn't the A-Team circa 1983...

    This is bad, i am not review bombing, i genuinely think this is garbage. The characters are boring, The necessity to adapt it to a contemporary audience almost kill it completely. The protagonist is awful. The script is full of unfunny quotes. This is definitely not made for fans of the franchise. Which could be fine, but why use the name "Resident Evil" if you're gonna thrash the legacyThis is bad, i am not review bombing, i genuinely think this is garbage.     When virtue signaling is more important than using a famous, beloved IP right, you know it can´t go well.
    This is the perfect example for it. Avoid it at all costs!

    Terrible; followed by more terrible; just when you lose all hope; it smacks you with even more terrible.

    Forced messaging, bad acting and terrible plot lines. Like a mash-up of glee and resident evil; half the show is about some horrible cringe inducing teenage drama. Main characters are more than terrible; storyline hops all over the place and makes no sense. Entire thing becomes    Terrible; followed by more terrible; just when you lose all hope; it smacks you with even more terrible.

    TL:DR; I am going to cancel my Netflix.

    Look there is nothing really bad about the show, but there is a worse fate than being bad, and that is being utterly and completely forgetable. If you are going to carry the weight of the Resident Evil name, you have to do somethiing better than a run of the mill zombie virus movie. Even if this series didn't carry the Resident Evil name it    TL:DR; I am going to cancel my Netflix.

    Look there is nothing really bad about the show, but there is a worse fate than being bad, and that is being utterly and completely forgetable. Even if this series didn't carry the Resident Evil name it would still be a 1 / 10 since there are the first few seasons of "The Walking Dead". Netflix has done much better zombie movies, and much better virus movies. This was the last thing keeping my sub up, I might renew it when the next season of Castlevania or The Witcher come out, but not for more Resident Evil. I can't get the 3 hours of my life back from the 1st 3 episodes, and if you can't grab attention in the first 3 episodes, then you failed at making a compelling story. Respect your time more than Netflix respected the source material, please, you are worth it.    … Expand

    I'm gonna give this a 3 out of respect for Lance Reddick. He's good, the rest not so much. I'm confused as to why they even called this Resident Evil. Despite some references to the T-virus and obviously Umbrella Corp, this does not feel like RE at all. They could have just named it something else and it would probably be fine.

    I’ve been a lifelong RE fan. Usually I can appreciate each form of RE content, video games, novels, graphic novels, and films and tv shows. But this is the first RE show I would 100% not recommend. Horrible directing, writing, casting and acting

    Seeing the previews and the focus being on everything but quality told us this was going to be bad. But we had no idea just how bad it was. Your going to fall asleep from how bad it is and how tired your eyes get from rolling them everytime someone talks.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. there's nothing Resident Evil in this series, putting references and characters in the background doesn't make any of this interesting, we were already full of rage for the terrifying and ridiculous P Anderson movies, now comes with that, it was just to have made the first game with the Chris Redfild as protagonists and that's it, then in the other season I did Resident Evil 2 with clare and 3 with Jill, RE cod veronica with Chris and clare. It's simple. and we are also fed up with this Wolke ideology.… Expand

    Given the six choppy hours that preceded “Resident Evil’s” rousing two-part ending, it’s hard to trust future seasons will stick with the bananas spirit Season 1 stumbled upon.
