Again giving a low blow to reality with ideologies and absurd changes. What an offensive way to change things.

Series written by an AI algorithme with the 'politically correct' setting cranked to maximum.

Given the low user score I almost didn't watch Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. But then I read the user reviews and realized that many of these negatives reviews are motivated by hate. So I decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did. I am 3 episodes in and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Wonderful acting and cinematography. And I find the story very engrossing. Ignore the ones who downrated it simply because they don't like a story told using black people. They say it's historically inaccurate. It's fiction, of course it's historically inaccurate. My advice is to watch this and enjoy. I know I certainly will. Expand

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Most times, spin-offs don't live up to the glory that their original shows had but Queen Charlotte isn't that, I daresay that it challenges the former seasons in the main timeline if not besting some.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Most times, spin-offs don't live up to the glory that their original shows had but Queen Charlotte isn't that, I daresay that it challenges the former seasons in the main timeline if not besting some.

This spin-off beautifully meanders through the current timeline and the past, delving into how the Bridgertonverse became what it is, also bringing to view the love between the Queen and the King, and also how Lady Danbury became the respected member of the ton she is.

The acting is phenomenal, the younger actors were able to splendidly portray the essence of their older selves; the older cast also continued in their delicious serve.

The score is praiseworthy. Bridgerton has always been known for rendering classical versions of modern songs, but the selection for this spin-off is nothing short of brilliant.

The costume, locations, direction and cinematography as always are also wonderful.

The spin-off starts with Charlotte being shipped to England to be married to the king, and from the first scene shared between the leads, the chemistry is undeniable. They navigate through marriage with hiccups; Lady Danbury also begins her ascend into power, and it's comforting to see how she finesses herself into getting what she wants. I especially loved the fourth episode, some may think it an unnecessary rehash but I found it to be absolutely pivotal. Sadly, the cracks began to filter in after the fourth episode, it would have been better to see the descent of the King's mind. In all, Queen Charlotte was heart-wrenching, funny and bright, and a wonderfully made spin-off.

it is not as strong as the main stories and it is indeed questionable to choose black people as queens to add some special plot for the show. but it is still watchable

I loved Queen Charlotte. The acting, costumes, scenery and storyline all exceeded my expectations. It seems those writing negative reviews are racist since I had no problem imagining a more diverse casting as a modern twist. I’m so glad I didn’t read these reviews until after I watched it. I’m a critical viewer and and yet I found this series thoroughly enjoyable and binge-worthy. HighlyI loved Queen Charlotte. The acting, costumes, scenery and storyline all exceeded my expectations. When you liked the first two seasons of Bridgerton you‘re gonna love this season about Charlotte’s and George‘s story. Especially the included topics of psychosis and historical forms of treatment are done quite well. With time jumps and some repeated scenes, the watcher becomes the opportunity to see the former two seasons and the new season itself in another light and can reflect. When you liked the first two seasons of Bridgerton you‘re gonna love this season about Charlotte’s and George‘s story. Although it is the same „she have to save him“ kind of story, I enjoyed watching it. Especially at the end I had tears in my eyes.

It’s an improvement on the second series: Bridgerton reaching out a bejewelled, entitled hand to grasp its mojo back. Still, what next?

There’s a distinct Shonda-ness to the dialogue, which recalls “Scandal” ’s snippy banter and florid, time-stopping monologues, as well as that series’ obsession with optics. Who needs the glowing fairy lights of “Bridgerton” when this more world-weary spectacle boasts so many confident fingerprints? ... Pull up a chair.

The prequel is the best “Bridgerton” yet.
